I wish you didn't feel like you had to explain her not being fast or the ponytail being appropriate for her age. You don't have to explain its if she fast. Its you kid your kid hair and you decision. A hairstyle doesn't make black girl grown it how you raise them.

Most little white girls wear their hair down (I always did) Now if I get my daughters hair straightened and I have it out, being she's biracial, people say she looks grown. If my daughter was full white, no one would bat an eye.
