For starters my friend I'm not an indigenous South African. I, like millions of others, descend from a population which has survived white people's best attempts to eradicate it. The fact that I could be native American, African American, African, Australian etc. underlines my point about white people pulling up on continents, slaughtering the residents and taking their land. I believe the social scientists term this sort of response "white fragility." Before you get up in arms about it I implore you to look up the term. If what you say about your family is true, do keep up the good work and remember that you can only work to end racism/inequality if you truly understand it and all it's manifestations.
