i never imagined that some of these logic circuits could be so simply interpreted, and yet could create such complex manchines as the computer i am currently on. I realize now that you could do some microcoding this way with decoders ! really nice :)
In the very end when you combined two 2x4 decoders to make a 3x8 decoder you used C as enabler. But there must be MSB connected to enable pin which is A in your case. Overall video lecture was great.
Besides the helpful information, reversed writing at its finest!!!!! WOW! Wait, or is there any photography trick here? Like using mirrors? I don't know, whatever that is, I just find it awesome! lol
+David “Dave” Tassoni : No, he flipped the video, but in order to do that, he had to write reversely! That is why you can see him behind the letters, not in front of them. This guy has an incredible talent
No he doesn't have to write reversely? He is standing behind a glass and writing normally, then the video is flipped around sideways... That's why he appears left-handed
Sorry I'm a bit late to this discussion, just a small addition to your final '3 to 8' decoder. If you had used a separate '2 to 4' decoder to generate 4 separate enables (first level), to four decoders (second level), you would have gotten a '4 to 16' decoder overall. The tradeoffs are time delay, additional current demand and space on your circuit board. Otherwise an enjoyable video, including for review.
Hi I'm 11, in my school they don't teach me electrónics, I come hére because I was building happily my 2-BIT ALU in Minecraft when someone said, you'll need a decoder. I came hére and I didn't understand es Nothing, i dont know What type of Logic gates are the ones that look like AND but have a circle in front. I know the instructions are 8 BIT, but what is a diode, and how do you know that the wires you choose for decoding: 0,1,2,3 were right. Sorry, I'm only 11 and in my school they dont teach me electronics.

I can't explain how much this is helpful.textbooks make it complicated . thank you
This video teaches decoders in an incredibly simple way and his facial hair is simply immaculate. I wish I could hit like more than once
i watch many youtube videos but no one explain me how decoder works....
thank you for explaining this topic.......

Overall video lecture was great.
This video deserves million +subscribers
Anytime I have a question, you always seem to answer it. Thanks
Thank you so much! Great series of videos.
This outro is perfect sir! Hahah I really like it.

+Carlynda Do They flip the video around so that the viewer can read it
Thank you. Still cool right lol

google 'The Learning Glass' by Matt Anderson. this guy uses the same mechanism to that. and nope, he wasn't writing reversely.
"both need to be high" and this video was posted on 420. jack confirmed stoner
Thanks for making this video, it helped me a lot.
Your are the real MVP my good sir
your explanations is crystal clear!!!!
So an encoder works the other way around, but without and-gates?
do you have to write backwards when drawing on that crystal thingy?
Thank you. I dont have enough pins on my microcontroller, so I will get some more functionality with this. Thanks!
Do you write backwards or flip the video in editing?
beautiful series of videos helping me a lot..thank u sir
that was very informational! Thanks for the upload! :)

may I know how the truth table for this decoders was written..
man his subtle smiles make me worried that he might mess up! (FOR THOSE WHO ARE NEW, HE DOESNT MESS UP)
Cool , Great presentation.!
is there any reason I should use this rather than just a demultiplexer?
Does this guy write mirrored??
looks like you're drawing on my screen
Awesome video. Helped me a lot!
How are you writing everything in reverse? Doesn't it become confusing for you?
how are you writing this... or is it edited
He is writing on a glass
couldn't it be that he is writing on a mirror? and then just has the cam next to him, wait we would see the cam ?
It's logic man
would this still be the case if im using 2 3 bits inputs?
Good explanation, m8.
great explanation
why did you draw it so that 01 outputs 2 and 10 outputs 1?
Really good.....
Great video!
You the man
What is an enable?
Enable is used to enable/disable the circuit, 1 represents Enable and 0 does Disable
Captivating
nice examples
Very Very useful.
helpful information
but in decoder with 3 input why you using OR gate. why don't you using and gate?
thanks for the midterm help 2013 jack buffington
awesome.
why is even parity not used for decoder outputs

+Ellegaard The Engineer , you want some help? come over yahoo saeedhassan243@yahoo.com maybe i can help you through this ! :) cheers
Saeed Hassan Thx
My pleasure!
15 years old bruh
Go away stupid
Thanks.
Thanks sir ❤
This guy looks like Mike Dirnt from Green Day
LOL I was saying the same thing!
That sound kills me
helped a lot
thanks
nice
I love you.
LOL! so marry him!
THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO JACK.
Come be a lecturer in UL plz
Are you left-handed or right-handed?
He’s writing with his right hand. Men’s shirts have buttons on the right side.
He looks like Colin Firth !
anyone else watching this to make a redstone computer in minecraft
*_MIRRORED_*
why the background music is the tone of a hindi movie? xD
