“Where Were You?” By Yamagata Namagiri AKA Aleksey Fedenok

This song is dedicated to all children of war, especially those in Ukraine and Russia. It’s called ‘Where Were You?’ or ‘Guardian Angel.’ It portrays the deep sorrow and drama experienced by a child who has lost everything because of war. Inspired by the main antagonist of my book ‘Believe in Miracles,’ who turned to darkness and became Shadowbane, the song accurately and honestly describes the feelings of a child who has just lost his mom, dad, and sister-all his family. Everything he had.
This song not only serves as a tribute but also aims to raise public awareness about the grave and tragic realities faced by children affected by war-those who have lost their lives and those who continue to endure amidst the turmoil. By sharing their stories through music, I hope to foster a deeper understanding and empathy among listeners, urging all to reflect on the profound impacts of conflict on the most vulnerable.
You will not find it in my book yet, because even with my twenty-seven episodes, I am still in progress. However, it’s a reflection of the deep sorrow in my heart for the children of war.
