I agree with all these comments. For me, I see Lara’s grace most clearly in that, near the end, as they’re singing “attends-moi” holding the note, Lara hears her duet partner stop far short of Lara’s normal length for that note, and she cuts it short. It’s like she doesn’t want to show off. She’s a perfect duet partner in that way.
Amazing how she’s letting the other singer step in the spotlight. Pas sans toi is a very personal song for Lara, and yet she’s pushing her partner to sing it. She’s seriously all about sharing her art.
I've always been struck by what a generous duet partner she is. So much so, I started thinking of her in my mind as "the perfect partner for anyone, anytime." It was when I discovered her duets with Maurane that I thought, "Lovely. I have now found Fabian's perfect partner!"
@@DoggieFosters Yes she‘s so wonderful. I did a little research about Julie Saint-Pierre, she is the modarator of a radio show in Quebec. She wrote that Lara is her idol since twenty years and they recorded this interview and the duet, two weeks before the death of Lara‘s mom Luisa.
