It's great that you sold it that you got some money back, the Star Wars pinball that I ordered is showing up Monday at my workplace and then after that will be waiting on attack from Mars to show up hopefully the Midway cabinet be here soon. I have the big buck arcade cabinet I've only played it once and I really like it just haven't had any more time to do so

You know, ever since we talked about Big Buck Hunter last weekend, it stuck in my mind so much that I kept researching it, and I ended up deciding that I wanted it. I ended up selling a bundle of old consoles/peripherals/games and amiibo to a local retro game shop for $600, and put it towards Big Buck Hunter World. It's set to arrive today. It's kind of funny how we arrived at the same decision. I'm still loving my Marvel Pinball though, but I get it. You gotta make the best decision for yourself. I'm pretty much the opposite of you in terms of theme preference. I'm not a fan of star wars at all. I'm not a massive fan of marvel, but I do appreciate it enough to make it worthwhile. Plus, I never got the chance to play the zen marvel tables on any other format, so it's nice and fresh for me.

I mean I was the same way until I did the research, then the more I learned, then the more my interest was peaked. The Marvel Pinball did grow on me though. I was sad to see it go, and if I would have had to of taken a loss then I would have just kept my Marvel and canceled my SW pre order. Let me know what you think of the BBHW!

The initial showings I saw, had people playing way too far from the screen on normal mode, CONSTANTLY missing shots AMD getting zero shots in. It wasnt until I saw people playing closer, or turning on the easy mode to get more shots in, where it started to actually look fun. I saw someone else bring up a good point that with games like house of the dead and time crisis, once you beat the game, that's pretty much it. Seems like big buck hunter has much more replay value since its score-based. Also the bonus games look like they add a lot of variety. I just got mine in the house 30 minutes ago, and I'm prepared to assemble it soon. I'll try to remember to let you know how it plays.
@@gregdickson4767 YES!!!! Those were the same things that won me over. The mini games, and the fact that it's score based. Hi Scores to me is what brings me back to certain tables over others. Even if it isn't my favorite game, challenging myself is always fun. Well set that thing up and enjoy!

So we got the Big Buck Hunter put together yesterday afternoon, and then we had my sister-in-law and her boyfriend over right after for a hang out night. We played arcades throughout the night, and out of 8 cabinets, Big Buck Hunter was one of the two most standout ones (along with NBA Jam). We played so many rounds of it and everyone had a blast. It's so easy to pick up and play. The cabinet was really well put together for the most part. The screen size never bothered us, as no one complained about it. My only issues is that twice the right gun wasnt registering when we started the game, but I just had to disconnect and reconnect the gun's cable, and then it was fine. My wife and I also took a good piece of soft foam during construction, and glued it in the bottom back corner of the inside of the cabinets for the guns to rest against, so the guns won't be damaged against the hard bottom of the cabinet when people place them back in. There was a ton of variety present in the game, as we only saw the tip of the iceberg in terms of content. Also, I very much recommend starting on the easy mode, and not standing too far away from the screen, just to ease yourself into the game, as it requires a lot of precision. I know I'll be keeping it on that mode, but I'm sure I'll give normal a go someday when I'm really used to it. I just want to focus on having fun first and getting a good first impression.

What you've told me seams to be consistent from what others are experiencing as well. I did chuckle a bit at the NBA Jam and BBHW, they seam like polar opposites, but NBA Jam is such a great cabinet and I love it as well! I'm curious if I like BBHW if I will even be interested in House of the Dead or T2 going forward. It does appear that it BBHW offers a much deeper overall experience. Well I'm super happy that your family and friends enjoyed it. I appreciate the in depth follow up, and I can't wait to get mine!!!
I agree. I was going to buy AFM but decided one wave 1 was enough. Waiting for Atgames pin then the new cabs coming out in the futire like Killer Instinct.
Congrats on the sale. Makes total sense to sell now when demand is high. I think 1 a1up pinball is plenty. I would trade marvel for star wars every day of the week. Even with AFM Ive had some initial negative impressions but after playing it for a week I'm really enjoying it. Unless it breaks I'm keeping mine.

I had a marvel sitting in my house for a week before I got my AFM but I was waiting for initial impressions and just ended up returning it to walmart. After playing AFM I'm certain I wouldn't want more than 1 of them but I dont have unlimited financial means either so I'd rather sink my money into a custom build.

Thank you! Yeah I think it Marvel was my least desirable of the 3 A1Up and the AtGames. That being said it did a pretty good job satisfying the need, and I would have been alright it I got stuck with it.
I was initially disappointed in my marvel. But have come to love it more and more and waiting on My AFM to get here. I got 2 because the play style varies so much.
