Thanks for taking the time to video all the cars. Some of us are too far away to be there. One day I might go for the drive but I doubt it. PNW is my travel boundary. 👍
The show picked up both in spectators and cars on Saturday, as it always does. I know a few people who say that about Austin, but we had a great time this year, didn't have to deal with much traffic because we thought about when we wanted to go places and planned routes accordingly, etc. It was a blast.
The traffic through the swap meet on Saturday was better than on Friday, but everyone said the weather on Friday kept many away. I was there both days, and Thursday afternoon for setup, but spent most of the weekend in my swap meet booth. I did get out to see some of the Jimmie Vaughan show on Saturday, and the crowd was pretty big for that. My swap meet experience was a bit off from last year, but there was also another automotive swap meet in New Braunfels, Texas, which is a couple hours away, the same weekend. We did have some international visitors this year that we did not have last year; I heard that many countries had bans on overseas travel that hadn't been lifted yet at showtime last year. I think most people that come to the show from out of town or out of state, don't care too much about the public perception of Austin; I know it's not a big deal to me. As long as we have a successful trip and don't have any issues (truck problems, lose money, someone gets sick, etc.) I'm happy. I'm picky about where we stay and where we go while we're in Austin; I have a big truck and many places up there don't have much parking.
@@mofer35 Because this show draws cars from across the country and visitors from around the world, so they schedule it either the week before or the week after Viva Las Vegas most years.
Very cool, really enjoyed!!!!!! 🍻
Thanks for posting this, I enjoyed seeing the cars and trucks, and the soundtrack too!

how was day 2 turn out? Weather keeping the turn out low or people fed up with what has become of Austin? I know the later is why I stayed away...

Why do they have this show the same time as the New Braunfels Swap Meet?!? Stupid! Hurts attendance at both. I don’t get it!!!😢
