I honestly thought Diana was perhaps the saddest bride but I think this takes the cake... a bride is supposed to radiate on her wedding day and all you see is pain. I also have to say the groom looks cold and calculated like he would just as soon kill her. Charles showed more feeling than this man

Saddest bride I've ever seen. He is worlds away emotionally and she seems very lonely. No empathy from him except for a quick pat on her hand. He should have given all his attention to her, say kind words to her. Be there with her emotionally until she felt better.

Read that she didn’t want to marry him but felt trapped. He has several children by other women so I can understand, but she could have told him that she didn’t want to marry him.

Wow. I’ve been watching alot of royal weddings since I’ve always been fascinated by royal families and monarchies from a historical perspective and she has to be the saddest bride. The fact he didn’t even comfort her when she was crying and instead looked embarrassed was disappointing. The song is beautiful though.

Remember watching some of the wedding & thinking how terrible sad she looked. Knew something was up but didn't realize just how miserable she was or how badly she wanted to leave until afterwards. Sad indeed!
She attempted to escape three times before her wedding but they confiscated her passport and prevented her from escaping her marriage to this madman who impregnated another woman during their courtship. Probably one of the worst royal marriages in history.
