Rose City Band Psychedelic Jam / Reno Shuffle in San Francisco 4-27- 2023

Rose City Band of Oregon played the first show of their tour in San Francisco at The Chapel SF. They released the newest album Garden Party just 1 week ago. The set contained many songs from the new album as well as songs and jams from previous albums Earth Trip and Summer Long.
This video features a psychedelic jam that is free and open embedded in their song Reno Shuffle. This is the kind of performance that the band saves for its live concerts.
Rose City Band is the latest project from Ripley Johnson of Wooden Shjips and Moon Duo. The psychedelic style of Grateful Dead mixes with the later albums from Moon Duo with chilled out liquid leads. In Rose City Band Ripley has a heavy hand in the writing and allows his band to step forward. The slide guitar is great. The bass player gives a great groove and the drums keep their pace. Keyboards, organs, synth back each song and takes a few solos. The band passes the leads around for juicy jams.
