He said he heard the shots while he was inside the party, and afterwards, he left in the car....The police used the fact that tay identified rondo and cdai's clothing as proof that they were simply there....they had video footage of it, so they basically used tay's statement to say "Tay knew these guys for years, therefore he can easily identify who they are. He told us what clothes they were wearing, and this matches up with the video surveillance"..That way rondo & cdai couldnt say "That wasnt me in the video"...It's called proof of description...and yes, Tay helped the cops prove that the same 2 people shooting in the video were the same 2 people who they arrested, but that's only because the girls forced Tay to have to admit that he was there. Basically, the cops knew that a guy wearing orange was shooting a gun into the victim's car. & Tay admitted that he was in a car with a guy in orange. That's all that happened.
