Fantastic, and thank you. My first real guitar was a 1974 Takamine F340S. She's still around, sweet as honey and occupies a hallowed spot on my guitar wall. It was that guitar that taught me how to play.

PS - my number 3 son treated me to a trip back to southern Indiana last October - we went to French Lick, Indiana for a week just to hang out together - the West Baden Hotel had a Dixie Land Band on the porch and at least one Jazz Band inside in one of the restaurants - You're certainly good enough - ya oughta check into appearing there - just sayin' --- Snortin' Morton

Please do your own show, like a roving reporter segment on local TV,but with only the people places and especially THANGS you really dig. I'll watch that 8 days a week 😎

Caleb - you still out here? I'm lookin' at an F340 - but - not sure if it's an "S" - Should I hold out for an "S" - of course, meaning a Solid Top, - by the way - I'm an exiled Hoosier - South Western corner, myself - I sure would appreciate your reply - Thank You for your review - wish I, at 74, could play that well --- Snortin' Morton

William Morton if you’re looking at one then I say ask yourself if it sounds good, does it have songs in it, and would you play it? The “S” for solid top to me is unimportant sometimes as I have seen guitars from that era that the plywood ones sounded better because they were braced lighter. Go with what sounds good and don’t get too strung out on specs. My brief romance with that Guitar showed me that you just gotta play em. I have a Guild now.

William Morton I’ve passed through that way a bit on the road. I’d say if you want something pretty great and don’t care to shell out for the lawsuit mystique you should look for a Yamaha from roughly the same era. Usually can be found a bit cheaper and they sound great. If you look through my channel you will likely see that I play a lot of Eastman guitars as they are excellent. I don’t officially endorse anybody as an artist but there’s some fantastic guitars out there on a budget.
