I wondered if I'd ever come across this video again and here we are, lol. This is a classic. I remember this was the first "rain sounds" video I found when I was a child. I'm glad this vid is still around.

This is the best rain and distant thunder video on UA-cam. The balance is perfect between rain and thunder. I know this is true because it is cat tested. I turn it down low and my cats love it. It puts them to sleep every time.
So cleansing, if you listen you can hear God talking. Yes and Amen.

I thought it was such a smart idea that in the movie Interstellar, they used rain soothing sounds to help with the paranoia of outerspace. Is this practical for astronauts to do?
Nappa Carl I guess so, if they miss home, it can be soothing to hear sounds from home. Just like how pets who've been away from their owners respond to their owner's voice. It makes sense, psychologically.

With the thunder, the sounds of this video make me think of hot summer nights, late at night, sweating just a little, soft cool breezes wafting in though a nearby open window, cars occasionally slowly sloshing by just out at the road, peace, tranquility, a peculiar, bracing, yet ultra-soothing quietness my entire body just *feels*, a sense of the eternal and the sublime, a slowing of time, and an expansion of space. For a man of science, this is what really strikes a chord in one's soul.
If you have a Logitech bass then you will be able to feel the wind come out of the bass :O
