Medevedev has to go back to how he was playing early in that Australian Open final vs Sinner to have any chance of beating him. He's playing way too passively.
Daniil simply cannot play offensive tennis. It’s out of his character and skin. The unforced errors count screams inconsistency and unclutchness. Sinner didn’t have to do much and go inventive about his game, just to make the ball over the net for Daniil to do the job eventually. He has to find the right balance between his true self and to make the corresponding adjustments to stay competitive with Carlos and Yannik, who are pretty much the only guys forcing Daniil to go for those drastic changes in his game. He has to figure things out. The silver lining for Daniil would be his serve today, where he at least didn’t make any double faults since forever!
could not agree more, it really felt this year like he was pressing the ball so much and that's not really his strong suit at all in my opinion. I feel like he'd be so competitive if he stuck to his guns a little more. I get he's trying to reinvent and evolve as a player but it looks as though it's taking away from what makes him so effective from the baseline in the first place, consistency and accuracy. but I will trust that their team knows what their doing and will find a way to return to form in 2025 like he's done so many times.
@@cleb4802you hit the spot with that comment. It’s so annoying seeing Daniil struggling with returning the serve of Yannik in the first serve as the Yannik 1st serve win % was literally 100%. Once he adjusted his position to his old one, he started to make more balls back challenging Sinner. He just have to find that middle ground without taking away his identity and what he’s known for. He could build his game around being more defensive focused with a particular focus on precision and right placement to draw those errors off the opponents. He would also wear down his opponents, but now he seems to be making those changes realising the balls do not give him much of an advantage when he’s playing he way he’d play 2/3 years ago. Hopefully the coaching staff indeed knows what they are doing and be working on the proper execution tactics to beat the top-tier opponents like Carlos and Yannik

Sinner is playing at such a high level that Medvedev's awkward style is no match for his sheer power. Sinner vs Alcaraz is a possibility although Zverev and Fritz still have part to play in this tournament.
Statistically Alcaraz has a lower than 50% chance of getting out of his group so it's funny that you mention him in this scenario. The fourth one might be Ruud.
I honestly feel bad for Meddy. He's obviously trying his darndest but he's just no match anymore. His playstyle simply isn't explosive enough. He never manages to take time away from Sinner because he always stays so far back and his groundstrokes aren't as efficient.
Sinner and Fritz - well done, these guys and Zverev have great season Medvedev needs to improve his technique and increase the strength of his forehand and learn how to play better at the net in order to fight for titles next season
I didn't get to watch the complete Taylor Fritz match but from the highlights, Taylor's backhand was 99% going back crosscourt to De Minaur's backhand. Even when De Minaur's forehand side was 75% opened. Was that Fritz's strategy or was he stubborn? That was how he lost the 1st set.
@sunmanyi3265 well its a prediction but I have strong feeling that Zverev will top this group because Alcaraz might not be physically there to go toe to toe with the German and Ruud will get over Rublev although Rublev played and exceptional 2nd set against Alcaraz but still I think Ruud will win. And I think there is no stopping Sinner except for Zverev. But its my opinion reality might surprise us.
@@shorts-memes-fest The standings so far are as follows ; Games W/L Zverev. 25/17 Ruud. 22/19 Alcaraz. 19/22 Today's match : If Alcaraz bt Zverev 6-3, 6-3, all Ruud needs is a 6-4,6-4 win to top this group. And Zverev will drop out of the Semifinals. But if Alcaraz lose less than two games and Ruud drop a set against Rublev, Alcaraz will top the group. So there is still a chance you will see a Sinner-Alcaraz final. PS : According the above score, the standing will be... Ruud. 34/27 Alcaraz 31/28 Zverev. 31/29
Medvedev just can't win a big tournament by being so predictable at this stage of his career. He doesn't even bother to come to the next. His volley game is absolutely zero. His serve is also not doing the magic these days. The only way Medvedev is going to get past sinner or Novak or even Carlos is by adding net play and volleying to his game.against a player like sinner He just can't sit on the baseline hoping for a short ball or a mistake from the opponent. He has to unpredictable to atleast make a game out of it. Even sinner improved his serve and net game. He was always a deadly baseliner. Just that he improved his ground strokes , worked on his serve and net game and see what a beast he has turned out to be. Almost 12000 points in a season is a humongous achievement. For that matter even Sascha has worked on his forehand a bit. Even though his volleying is still awful but it works for him fine. If zverev somehow ups his net game he can become the same level with sinner alcaraz and Novak in the next season. His serve and backhand still being one the best on the tour. He has a really great chance of winning his first slam next season
I think it's only Carlos that can truly rival Jannik - and currently has the edge (though Jannik won their h2h in 2022 and 2023 - so it's not clear cut overall yet).
If meddy wanted to win a title he would play a challenger or a 250 😂. He’s still one of the top players in the world. Everyone loses to Sinner, but at least Meddy makes it deep in most tournaments.

Yes, he wears his opponents down but nothing about his shot making is remarkable, he's not a particularly strong baseline hitter, not a big server either. He's no Lleyton Hewitt, that's for sure.
Sinner and Fritz are waiting for their opponents for the Semifinals, who will they be? I say Ruud and Alcaraz. Alcaraz will bt Zverev 6-3, 6-3. And Ruud will bt Rublev 6-4, 6-4 to top his group.

😀 Yeah, it's so funny .. 😄😄
I honestly feel bad for Meddy. He's obviously trying his darndest but he's just no match anymore. His playstyle simply isn't explosive enough. He never manages to take time away from Sinner because he always stays so far back and his groundstrokes aren't as efficient.
It's also because his hearts not in it anymore. When that happens winning becomes very hard. He'll have to find a way to recharge, or quit soon.
It seems no one in this world can beat Sinnerer.
Sinner❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Taylor on the roll!
very nice sinner.you're my man
Most people are Sinners, and Taylor has a vey swift backhand. I’m your rent a pun guy 😬
It’s not just a bunt, DeMinaur needs to change his grip on the bh too 😮
I must say that guys are palying at a very high level this year.
They don't usually paly this good.
@@blucat4 I mean every match is great to watch a lot of crazy points and long rallies. You don't get that every tournament
@@maciejkostkowski8758 I agree, but you missed the point. Paly. Paly. Lets see if he gets it ..
@@blucat4 Maybe you've missed mine mate
Why do we not see the break of serve at 5 all in the first with Fritz, De Minaur?
Because Santa's seen that you've been a bad boy this year!
Sinner and Fritz - well done, these guys and Zverev have great season
Medvedev needs to improve his technique and increase the strength of his forehand and learn how to play better at the net in order to fight for titles next season
The body language of sinner tells me that he is extremely focused. He will win the tournament.
I wish we would’ve seen de minaur’s second game breaking fritz in the first set….
10:18 was that a grunt from sinner??!!
No, you're hearing things, go see an ear doctor ..
Taylor was definitely very swift in that last set 😬
This rivalry has been turned around completely- that’s been four landslide from Sinner in their last five matches.
One aspect Sinner still need improve is his dropshot.. He rarely used it, and when he use it, it's very predictable that he will pull a drop shot
Not in every situation but yes, for sure is something he will improve
Love De Minaur but he has to work so much harder than the bigger guys to win every single point
If Fritz wins his semifinal match, he will be number 4 for the first time in his career. Depending on who he plays, it is certainly doable
If he manages to win it, he'll deserve it. He has been trying his heart out for 5 years and getting a little better each year.
Sinner improved slice
Sinner played at 60%
We might not see a Sincaraz final.
How so?
@sunmanyi3265 well its a prediction but I have strong feeling that Zverev will top this group because Alcaraz might not be physically there to go toe to toe with the German and Ruud will get over Rublev although Rublev played and exceptional 2nd set against Alcaraz but still I think Ruud will win. And I think there is no stopping Sinner except for Zverev. But its my opinion reality might surprise us.
@@shorts-memes-fest
The standings so far are as follows ;
Games W/L
Zverev. 25/17
Ruud. 22/19
Alcaraz. 19/22
Today's match : If Alcaraz bt Zverev 6-3, 6-3, all Ruud needs is a 6-4,6-4 win to top this group.
And Zverev will drop out of the Semifinals. But if Alcaraz lose less than two games and Ruud drop a set against Rublev, Alcaraz will top the group. So there is still a chance you will see a Sinner-Alcaraz final.
PS : According the above score, the standing will be...
Ruud. 34/27
Alcaraz 31/28
Zverev.
He's been suffering from a shoulder injury.
Proud of Meddy...😌
He fought so hard, even breaking back.😔😒
He’s knocked out of the tourney! Fritz goes through ❤😊
I think it's only Carlos that can truly rival Jannik - and currently has the edge (though Jannik won their h2h in 2022 and 2023 - so it's not clear cut overall yet).
Carlos just has the issue of consistently making it deep enough in tournaments to face Sinner.
Carlos doesn't have "the edge" lol. He was lucky to get those 3 (close) wins from Sinner this year.
Who's taller and leaner? SInner or medvedev
medvedev not winning single title this year is a shocking for me. if he doesnt find a way to beat sinner then it will become very worse for him
If meddy wanted to win a title he would play a challenger or a 250 😂. He’s still one of the top players in the world. Everyone loses to Sinner, but at least Meddy makes it deep in most tournaments.
Sinner the best!
Sinner fear... otherwise Medvedev is a brilliant player after DJOKOVIC...❤❤❤❤❤
Fritz's walking billboards
Medvedev is like the golfer who has great touch and a short game but is 30-40 yards behind on every hole in distance. Sure he can win but not often.
Champion Sinner
Many thougnt that Carlos would be the next goat but he has now faded away... Sinner is here to stay 🎉
U wish 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 if only he fades because you stop watching him....
no he hasn't. Hardcourt is his weakest surface. he has lost a lot because there is alot of hardcourt tournaments on the calender! Sinner is not great on grass either.. Its just a rivalry
He won two of the last three slams lol. What is it with tennis fans always thinking whoever is currently playing best is unbeatable forever
Alcaraz won two majors this year and beat Sinner three times. Get a grip.
@@seventhsteel1415 for example, if Sinner goes out in the second round of Rolland Garros and Alcaraz get the trophy, all of a sudden Sinner was overrated… fans logic is so 😂😂😂😂😂 1player can not win all the time
Court too slow it’s a pain to see de minaur and Medvedev grind that much. Court speed of Paris was much better. It’s boring tennis sorry. You attack the net and you get passed everytime
De Minaur is one of if not the fastest player on any given tour but he's never gonna win a slam because speed is all he's got going for him. Yes, he wears his opponents down but nothing about his shot making is remarkable, he's not a particularly strong baseline hitter, not a big server either. He's no Lleyton Hewitt, that's for sure.
Фриц спокоен, как танк.
....ah, ok, good, i was just about to check their H2H.....
Sinner and Fritz are waiting for their opponents for the Semifinals, who will they be? I say Ruud and Alcaraz. Alcaraz will bt Zverev 6-3, 6-3. And Ruud will bt Rublev 6-4, 6-4 to top his group.
Yannick is a war machine
Nobody wants to compete against a clearly doping player. I get Meddy's frustration and coolness at the net.
Stop it, silly boy 😮
Explain how Sinner is clearly doping. Show your credentials for making that claim and the evidence that led you to that conclusion. Or stfu. Also, listen to Meddy's press conference afterwards. He has no problem personally with Sinner.
@@billiey36 the failed drug tests, the WADA appeal, his miraculous improvement- going from 0-6 H2H to 8-7 against Meddy in under a year. when you see the glaringly obvious but choose to ignore- it's just pitiful.

Forza Jannik 🎖️
Now zverev will try to avoid sinner by beating alcaraz at any cost....if zverev tops his group he will avoid sinner...and sinner can play any one of alcaraz, ruud and rublev if rublev beats ruud depending on calculations....

Alcaraz could also win but he dream global level of Sinner with zero losses vs no one. Sinner is unreal
So, Vedvedev is out of the tournament. Losing to Fritz in straight set cause him to out of the tournament.
You predicted medvedev to Straight set sinner .

Sinner is the doped guy ?? what a shame 😢
You can tell the other players don't think Sinner should play.... Look at the handshake everytime. Cold and Direct.
You can tell Mathis_Degardin projects his feelings onto total strangers. Look at his posts. Supposition and childishness.
Medvevev is just salty cause he lost 8 out of their last 9 matches😂
Did you maybe skip your anti-paranoia pills this morning?
@@billiey36 truth that's it

Sinner's play is so boring it reminds me that of Djokovic.
Ofc is the right play if you want to win titles etc but if you are not a fanboy of anything other than the game itself it's simply not fun to watch.
You just dont know about tennis if you consider such pace and clean ballstriking boring to watch
It's hard to play an exciting tennis with an opponent like Medvedev. Put him against Alcaraz and you'll watch amazing tennis by both players
@@Wolfgang_rw Some people have different opinions, shocking.
@@rickfid99that's because alcaraz is an interesting and exciting player unlike both sinner and Novak
Sinner is just Novak 2.0 .... Minus the grunting and excessive ball bouncing before serve
It seems like Medvedev will never beat Sinner or Alcaraz again.
lol every time someone says that meddy wins somehow
🎉🎉🎉
6:03 Oh, these two little Djoks, totally heritated that boring and endless baseline rally. What is tennis to be really
Sinner is like Novak, he has same hunger of winning that Novak possess, I respect their mentality n hunger both...!!
