Hello Alan, What a nice engine... you must be super pleased with it. As we know I know little about these types of engines but that one does run exceptionally well. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Alan. Yes, you appear to be absolutely correct about the engine origins. I'm afraid we all have the scars of flame licker encounters and building one is similar to committing Hari Kari from my experience. I have to say that is the best running flame licker I have ever seen. It actually has more power than just enough to barely get out of it's own way. I'm impressed. It's not radically different to most others, but the way he has incorporated a moving flame guide seems to be the difference. I've not seen that before. I would like a few close up photo's of that if possible. The stroke /bore dimensions would also be of interest. I would be tempted to copy this one. Cheers Rob
Hi Rob. I think the other secret with this one is an excellent seal between the piston and cylinder. I haven't taken it apart yet but I will do and send you some photos. David seems to have a great knack with flame lickers he has a couple of others on his channel which run very well. Cheers, Alan.
Wow Alan. That must be the best example I have ever seen. What a delight to see. Poetry in motion. 👏👏👍😀
All credit to David on this one. Cheers, Alan.
You scored a lovely flamelicker by David there Alan!
Hi Jim. Yes I was very lucky to win this one. Cheers, Alan.

Thanks Paul, yes I am. Flame lickers can be a right bugger to get running well but David seems to have the knack. Cheers, Alan.

Beautiful addition to the collection Alan. I have a couple that i have never got running, so i can really appreciate the good runners.
Thanks Doug, all credit to David though, he really does seem to have the gift when it comes to flame lickers.
Very nice!
Hätten sie einen Bauplan??
No, I don't have any plans for the engine. You might want to contact the builder, the link to his UA-cam channel is in the description.
