Adam knows many movie executives having been in the business before Tool got famous. He was a sculptor for movies such as Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters 2. If he wanted to try making music for a movie I am quite sure he wouldn't have a problem. I really hope it could happen one day.
Tool is the closest thing I can use to describe a DMT experience. Disassociated journey into nowhere that makes complete sense of everything that was, is now, and what could ever be, all humbly experienced, simultaneously.
Jew Slayer. It's kinda simple isn't it? It's not talented like undertow or anything else they have. Or is it? I'm not being a dick. Is Adam Jones.... Lazy?
Dark red/purple hues...lots of floating little grape-like things...I'm starting to think this a convoluted subliminal advertisement for MJK's wine business.
I know this is just a clip from a concert but this has remained one of my favorite bass tests on UA-cam the kick drums hit so ridiculously hard it never gets old
Pressure is on for them from here out ppl will be disappointed if the (possible) new album would turn out to be less than monstruous, they've been teasing us for too long at this point
I totally agree. I understand the enormous pressure and responsibility they have regarding the next album because of the high expectations from the fans.,I personally have blind trust in their work and talent, but still, the burden is super heavy on them.
They might be picky, who knows, but, I personally don't see them perfectionists, they just want to do their work with the highest quality possible as well as filling it with creativity and make it sound unique.
after listening to the latest recording, I kinda prefer this one, they go more places in the final version but this is kinda brutal in its relative simplicity
Was looking for this exact comment! I agree. This version is more trippy and hypnotic. They should have incorporated this arrangement into the final version.
@@rumisfordrinkingnotburning it was bad. No joke..Unless he was sick with a cold or flu...But if that was the case they should have cancelled the concert
HOLY FUCK. It hurts not knowing if you guys are going to release another album ever again. This is amazing. You are the absolute best band in the world!
That was one of the most mesmerizing cerebral pieces of music I've ever heard. It really did sound like it was not of this world. There wasn't anything familiar with it at all when the guitar melody came in.
odd how this turned into everyone giving years they were born. Anyway, YES! I remember standing in line for the midnight CD release. Excitement and pot smoke filled the air... Ah, memories.
tool makes music with literally millions of meanings....you make the meaning of the song by thought......what I've gathered from tool is reaching a divine state of mind

Whenever I smoke, I always see this video. It's amazing, takes me in another dimension.
It was stuck in my head when I woke up this morning and listened to it on my way to work and now after a 12 hour workday I had to listen to it again as I go to bed !!
I saw Tool in 1998, the Aenima tour, I took two geltabs and they had awesome visuals on the big screen, like static naked people, u could make out the image for a second then it would morf into something else, I was blown away, best show I've ever seen. I've seen Tool 6 times now, and the 98 show was, by far, the best, Maynard was dressed like reverend Maynard for the first few songs, then stripped down to a pair of little red shorts, he had a stage presence that I hadn't seen before. now, he just kinda stands in the background, and u can barely see him, still great shows but not like 98. true art at it's finest.
Of course man, me too, I was joking because it's so good...but of course the best CGI still doesn't come close to the experience. But the best CGI of a psychedelic experience has to be the trip scenes in the movie Renegade. I think it also comes with the name Blueberry. Oddly enough, it's kind of a western and an Indian gives the lead character ayahuasca.
Damn, you can really feel the Lateralus vibe here. I feel like 10'000 days was a bit too down to earth after Lateralus, which was a lot deeper in all senses, but this one really does give you that Lateralus feel.
This is so rad! One of the best things I find about Tool is that it is educational, makes you learn cool and interesting things that expand your knowledge base and help you grow in the process. From Jungian psychology to transcendence and mysticism to Saturn return to magpies and their symbolism to morphogenesis and higher geometries in these visuals, and more. Plus their supremely awesome music always fills you with positive energy. Now if for some reason the new album doesn't materialize, I would still be happy with their discography. Honestly, I don't understand or know what to make of 'Viginti Tres' to this date! Ha! The best band ever! “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”― Aldous Huxley
Let "people" hate. Their hate is of no use, would only burn themselves inside out. People having differing opinions is appreciable, but judging someone based on something as trivial as a comment is jumping the gun. I enjoy listening to, and learning things from, Tool and will keep doing that. And it's common sense that I didn't mean to say I've an in-depth understanding of, say, Jungian psychology. But I do know something about it, thanks to 'Ænima'. Now what's so pretentious about that? Relax folks. Enjoy the music and visuals. Peace.
I keep coming back this video over and over again, definetely my favourite version of this song so far. This is just such a heavy amazing rythm and sound. Sometimes I feel like Justin, Adam and Daney should release loads of instrumental music...
@@tristanwalker1730 I dont think those are interludes, they are more like part of the songs that follow. Some great interludes are useful idiot, Ions, cessaro summability intermission, Lipan conjuring, lost keys and viginti trees
I can’t believe this 2 and half minute demo is one of my favorite Tool songs.
right? :D
Ya same.
Ye, it's a little bit strange, but ok.
Nice user name bro
Same, but you have a nice name!
Seriously these guys should go instrumental and write the scores for epic movies. I could listen to this shit all day
I mean I absolutely love the vocals, but yeah I have imagined so many movie scenes to their music. It would especially go good with Sci Fi movies.
Making soundtracks for movies depends on how much freedom you gain. Usually you don't get much.
Adam knows many movie executives having been in the business before Tool got famous. He was a sculptor for movies such as Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters 2. If he wanted to try making music for a movie I am quite sure he wouldn't have a problem. I really hope it could happen one day.
I agree. I really hope that for Dune Pt 2, they use one of their songs as the trailer music!
Bro, we'd only get a movie once every ten years.
*#lolz*
The world is ready. We, are ready.
Chad Baptiste best comment ever!!!!!!!
You can only read that dramatically while listening to this song.
The universe is ready.
Soul no, the universe is hostile!
My anus is ready.
This might be some of Adam's best guitarwork to be honest. This riff is really well crafted.
Well, the Fear Inoculum album cover makes sense with this.
Exactly what i was thinking
Some of it looks like an early version of what they ended up having for the CD visual experience.
And Recusant Ad Infinitum.
Descending might be their best song...this version is amazing as well and would love to see it on a future live release
This was the best version.
Way better.
No.
True
Nope
Wish it was longer
Tool is the closest thing I can use to describe a DMT experience.
Disassociated journey into nowhere that makes complete sense of everything that was, is now, and what could ever be, all humbly experienced, simultaneously.
That bass, my god... hypnotic...
TheChazz1225 yes. It is
Yes it is
Justin Chancellor is a bass God !!
When I heard this for the first time I immediately knew the album would be good.
i've lost track of how many times i've listened to this. once this album drops, i won't be listening to anything else for quite a while
Jew Slayer. It's kinda simple isn't it? It's not talented like undertow or anything else they have. Or is it? I'm not being a dick. Is Adam Jones.... Lazy?
They say sometimes simple is better.
Jew Slayer me too lol
Simon Torque they are beast
Thanks Tool for enabling a psychedelic drug abstinent person like me to still have overwhelming psychedelic experiences.
Tool is the only band I have ever been biting my nails waiting on their new stuff!
Dark red/purple hues...lots of floating little grape-like things...I'm starting to think this a convoluted subliminal advertisement for MJK's wine business.
LOL ! Do you feel like buying some of his wine now ?
He was joking bruh... Or is he?
my soul is ready for tools message. my liver is even more ready for the wine.
Crunge92 lol 😂😂
Crunge92 ... Makes me want to do psychedelics ... Not drink alcohol..
Maynard James "you haven't seen my final form yet" Keenan.
It was rly Adam and Danny that went supa sayn on this one
I know this is just a clip from a concert but this has remained one of my favorite bass tests on UA-cam the kick drums hit so ridiculously hard it never gets old
love the heaviness of the kick drum. Descending grows on you.
With this track and visuals, you sense the monstrous album drawing nearer than ever.
Pressure is on for them from here out ppl will be disappointed if the (possible) new album would turn out to be less than monstruous, they've been teasing us for too long at this point

?? they don't give a fuck about you... like I do
Ahmed Alqaisi it's going to be an instant prog metal classic. I got a feeling these guys have got something truly epic planned.
after listening to the latest recording, I kinda prefer this one, they go more places in the final version but this is kinda brutal in its relative simplicity
exactly my thoughts
Agreed, this is a very pleasant ride.
Same for me :)
Was looking for this exact comment!
I agree. This version is more trippy and hypnotic. They should have incorporated this arrangement into the final version.
yup
New Album!!! Im Ready!!!
Need a Tool and Deftones tour this summer.
Deftones?? Have you seen them lately??? Chinos voice is fried... Almost walked out of a hard rock luve show
@@bilbobaggins4710 chino still sounds good to me bro
@@rumisfordrinkingnotburning it was bad. No joke..Unless he was sick with a cold or flu...But if that was the case they should have cancelled the concert
That would be a fucking awesome show!!! 🤟
Robbie J why tool and Deftones. It’s always that same line up. Need to change it up.
HOLY FUCK. It hurts not knowing if you guys are going to release another album ever again. This is amazing. You are the absolute best band in the world!
How do you like Fear Inoculum now that it's been out for a few years?
And have you been to any of the tour?(2023)
That was one of the most mesmerizing cerebral pieces of music I've ever heard. It really did sound like it was not of this world. There wasn't anything familiar with it at all when the guitar melody came in.
swygster I think part of it sounded similar to right in two
I must have heard this 100 times...cant wait for the new album!
I teared up... 2006 when i bought the last album life was somewhere else.
It sure was. Powerful music powerful memories. I was still a teenager. Tool - basically the only band I liked when I was 15 that I still love today.
Wow! 1986
+Soph LeOaf 1974 :-))))
?
odd how this turned into everyone giving years they were born. Anyway, YES! I remember standing in line for the midnight CD release. Excitement and pot smoke filled the air... Ah, memories.
This version is much better than the album version..sounds are spatial here!
Imagine how apeshit we're gonna go when we hear this fragment in actual full song
That's what's got me giddy as a schoolgirl!
Indeed
well the time is now my friend...ua-cam.com/video/8ZJIldL5TZU/v-deo.html
Go apeshit
@hudson it's a lot different, instrumentally this one is better but in a full song context i think the new one's better
This version at 800x slowed is "celestial" , incredible, amazing. It's like you are going to the Center of Universe.
👌🙏
🖤🤘🏻
I could watch this stuff all day.
I'm watching this stuff right now
The song and those visuals are truly hypnotic.
I really wish they would still make videos of their music ... = (
I WANT MORE. I've heard this song 100 times just waiting for it to keep going. Ugh it's killing me.
I’m addicted to this song and it’s not even out yet.
"it's alllllriiight, ohhh, allrighhtt, keeep waiting for The album...." (lyrics)
I am unimpressed with your attempts at mysteriousness by hinting at tours and obtaining official visuals. OK, I LIED, I AM IMPRESSED! HAVE MY BABIES!
lmfao
Hahhahahaha
right?.... lol
Coz Baldwin ya well they're a little busy with cicada 3301 and writing brilliant fucking music in perfect phi okay? give em a break!
Here......just have them all....all my babies.
Tool music is originality at it’s best.
Best band to ever exist. Sounds incredible live. Wow
I am in love with this!
How are they so good???
This is just like all their other music, yet like nothing I've ever heard before.....
So pure and orgasmic.....once this album is listened to i will know what life is meant for.

I'd absolutely love this song to be an instrumental. You'd just get lost in it.
I wouldn't care if the whole album was just instrumental jams like this.
So its actually basically an instrumental. Second half of the song is a fucking monster wave of solos and impending doom
Im happy to have been alive when they created their sound, and as for that little bit of instrumental!! wow!!
These visuals are so mesmerising.
Definitely happy to see tool on the 20th. One more band off the bucket list.
Love the new visuals!
Tool is not just about the music.. the art is just magnificent!
Loved Justin's bass here. Has such a beautiful slap bass feel to it, almost primal, almost primus
i can literally meditate my way thru life listening to this.
HERE WE FUCKING ARE
lol "courtesy of tool"
Thaaaaanks toooooooel!
i listen to this every morning before goin to work
me too lol
It was stuck in my head when I woke up this morning and listened to it on my way to work and now after a 12 hour workday I had to listen to it again as I go to bed !!
This sounds so good! Love how melodic Tool's songs are!
I would have a seizure if tool releases their album within this year
Tool is as likely to release an album this year as you are to have a seizure
they'll release one
Once [insert joke here about Maynard and waffles]
+Ling Dude I see you everywhere, you're on every smashing pumpkins video and now you're here

If I may...
Call me crazy, but I like so much this version than the studio
Yea
Na
I could listen to this all day. What an awesome piece of music. This new album can't come fast enough.
Gonna wait it out!
Fear Inoculum is a modern masterpiece... It has only one flaw. The production could have made the songs 100 times trippier
i think the only flaw is those interlude tracks, pretty boring compared to Eon blue apocalypse and Parabol
@@tristanwalker1730 I dont think those are interludes, they are more like part of the songs that follow. Some great interludes are useful idiot, Ions, cessaro summability intermission, Lipan conjuring, lost keys and viginti trees

Something about this "demo" sounds better then the actual full album song. Especially when 1:40 hits and I get goosebumps.
Best version ever!
gotta luv the visuals
Listening to this in September 2019 is cool. hahahaha
I still dig this rough version, complete song is epic, but this one has a little different vibe which is nice to return to ;)
I like this version better than the new one
Finally going to see these guys in May. 15 years of loving this band and I finally get to see them. Yayayayayyayaay

since 2014, in Mexico city they played the same part of the song just before schism It was beautiful
upcoming october shows????
