@@MechaGaikotsu It's mostly what you'd expect from a kit from the 90s. A notable thing about it is that there are decals that are pre-printed on the parts directly. Which helps since all the stickers for mine have long since fallen off. There are also a lot of seam lines on this one that are very obvious. That might turn off a lot of people. The polycaps for the wings of mine have also loosened enough that the wings kind of droop while in MS if I don't secure them with some tape. Articulation is also very stiff since the torso needs to be a solid piece to facilitate the transformation of the Wave Rider mode. All in all, pretty good kit. If you have a 2.0 or one of the Z-Plus models, then those would pose a lot better. My only real disclaimer is that mine is proper *old* old as I got it way back in 2000 so a lot of it has worn down. ZakuAurelius' review covers that. the 2.0 is more anime-accurate and the wing binders are bigger. in the end, it comes down to personal preference. also the Hyper Mega Launcher from the 2.0 doesnt work on the Ver Ka straight out of the box.
@@billythenarwhal1579 yeah. But my point is if you're debating whether to get the Ver Ka or 2.0, it's pretty much down to personal preference, as the 2.0 is still a good buy, even today

Beautiful kit I've got it along with the ZZ, RX78, and Nu waiting to be built. Doubt it'll happen but I wouldn't mind a Ver. Ka of the Victory, and maybe the Turn A.
The white on thumb is anime accurate. They just didn’t do that on previous kit. Same thing with PG Astray having white and red on finger while MG doesn’t bc technology weren’t there
I have this kit in the box, and I'm planning on building with little to few modifications in the paint job. I want to keep the transformation from mobile suit to wave shooter, and adding LED lights may impede the kit from doing so.
Would you be able to show a transformation of just the frame? I think that would be a good example of how solid the frame is and what suits would we see using it
ZakuAurelius has exactly this up. He built the 1.0 and 2.0 before he built this, and has them standing side by side on a turn table at the end. But he only does the side-by-side detail comparison with the 2.0. There's also a few other comparison vids out there.
Granted it is already built, but i did this with the MG barbatos' silver piston ends: you would be left with really bad unpainted nub marks and using a chrome paint pen makes it nearly invisible. So i highly recommend using it if there are any unsightly edges.
This is not related to the kit itself but just a quick question, where did you get that runner holder I recently got one of those racks for runners and it was completely useless, but that holder might actually help. I don't have that much space on my table which is why I am looking for something like this.
Yep, definitely want a comparison. I actually like the 2.0 quite a lot, it's a bit of a must-have kit if you want to try a little bit of everything that gunpla has to offer. I have no doubt that it's mechanically superior in every way, but I'm not too sure about the appearance. I think the shoulders look narrower and kind of pushed forward so it looks like a kid trying to look tough. The ver ka changes are a matter of taste - I like my very chunky Mk II and Zeta, and Katoki likes his slimmed down suits and hanging breast vents. I do like that the wings aren't a massive brick though. It's hard to say, I might prefer this one in person, I might not.

The amount of articulation this has in order for it to move like this and even transform is really an advancement for the zeta line. I would say that its really now the same and solid kit like the RX 78-2 3.0 and ZZ VerKa 😊
