Jess,it has to be said. You are an absolute legend. You certainly give the guys a run for their money. No whining, no moaning, you just do as they do. Much love and respect to you girl 🙏🙏❣️
You will find literally anything you can imagine in books while cataloging for estate sales and wills I have found diaries money jewelry deeds photos and so on and I just know that there are many things hidden in those shelves and books. I could spend a year trying to retrieve the treasure within this home and still leave a ton left behind but I would enjoy greatly exploring the grounds with a metal detector and digging up the treasures in the ground. I love what you guys do, thank you very much, We may be seeing for the very last moments that some of these explorations have left to stand. Be it weather and natural disaster, nature and animals, or the worst cause of ruin of them all, man and the human hand, I am grateful for the peak into history and one last glimpse of the workmanship from our past.
I have been going back to watch videos I hadn't watched yet. One of my favorite things to do is chill in the evening and watch you guys. This one made me too nervous!🤣
I would love to have an immense treasure trove of actual books. From the cover, to the pages and print, to the content of the book is like literal treasure. Knowledge is true power. Good find 🤙🏾.
New subscriber here from Ontario Canada, an amazing video, and such lengths you went to, to get inside. I could stay in that library all day looking over everything. I just want to cry thinking about all those books that will be destroyed, never to be saved. Such a waste. Great explore, thanks for sharing. Save travels!
The orange T-shirt is hilarious. Inconspicuous by its lunacy lol. The Three Ninjas - Tomb Raiders / library researchers. Beautiful building in its time and someone loved reading! It’s all that’s left. Good job well executed guys!
Hi Sam and Jess, what a place I’ve seen this mansion explored a few times and everyone I’ve seen try it has been chased out by the law so good on ya Sam and Jess and Matt for giving us the full tour amazing place and the history is great real shame it’s in such a bad state, your right it should be saved but alas its to far gone, thx guys really enjoyed this gem.
This wasn't John Milton's house, it was built 200 years after he died. It's a Victorian house built on the site of a house that Milton rented for a time over 200 years previously.
I know Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
A book requires so much work to create, especially in old times; the idea or research for it, the manuscript with a feather to write with or just an ink pen, the printing of it, the selling of it, the hoarding them for the pleasure of reading. Every book is like a window, to someone's mind, to the culture of the times, to knowledge and insights, sometimes very rare. What a pleasure and adventure it would be to be let loose among such old books, and so many of them! Somehow I have always felt books are somehow sacred, they can change minds and lives. Just putting those ones into sacks and letting them down the window could still save them from composting. Other things seem to have been removed from the place, not much furniture in sight. WoW how those people got in!
I totally agree! Books open Windows to other universes, times and so much more. It actually physically hurts ne to think of them there-doomed to rott and Decay.
A love of books is a love never lost. Adventures of time, books open the mind and allows the reader flights of fantasy that can be obtained no other way at all. Knowledge is never wasted nor is it ever finished. Learn one new thing at least, every day of your lives!
This is awesome, but scary because everywhere you walk is dodgy. Most of your explores I would never dare to do. I take my hat off to you for climbing and exploring in such a dilapidated building. It is so sad to see it rotting like that, but sadder still to see all the books rotting. I can just imagine sitting in front of the roaring fireplace in winter and reading. Thanks for including the history of John Milton, Matt has a beautiful voice. You all do. I love you guys xx There is so much history here. Cheers from Australia xx
Matt has a wonderful calming voice for it doesn't he 😄 Thanks for your kind words, glad to have you here 🙏 Truly is painful seeing beautiful places like this just holding on 😪

Wow guys, what a great poet's house to explore!! Mind those nasty brambles..... ouch! Super filming and I'm glad you found the library. Great explore Sam, Jess & Matt 👊
I hate to see all those books going to rot? And you guys sure go the extra mile to get the video! wow glad no one got hurt! thanks for another great show!!!
It’s difficult to comprehend how such an important part of history is allowed to rot into oblivion. There is a treasure of books and antiques that should have been rescued long ago. Whomever possesses this gem should be prosecuted with criminal negligence. Such an important poet deserves better. And why did someone go to such elaborate expense to fence in this beauty with spiked fencing just to allow rot and decay to take over? I’m not a fan of thievery but I’ve seen so many treasures left to rot into nothingness, I’ve changed my mind about rescuing items from unwarranted death when abandoned by stupid humans- especially books. The detail contained within the illustrations and print between the covers of such books is no longer available. Every sing one should be saved. So, go back and save them, PLEASE
There's no way if that poet lived in the 1600-1700s that that's his house And books. Clearly that's the Victorian era from 1800- early 1900s those books aren't from the said authors time frame neither is the home. They are off by almost 200 years. This entire property and everything on it wouldn't have been from when that poet was even alive
@@cindymaestas947 The point is that this house was magnificent and should have been protected. It’s a time capsule that was allowed to rot That is WRONG
Jess is the trail boss!! My gf is like a soldier for books! No book left behind damn you! She'd make me pack out all those! Books go out of print and do get lost to age and time.
Books go out of print for a reason: the subject matter is no longer relevant, it's unpopular or is badly written. A book of great renown will be republished.
How very cool of you guys to honor the master of the house. Very very honorable of you guys. If it weren't for you guys he would've never been remembered or even known. Thank you guys for being way cool. And books, books are becoming a thing of the past now that I phone, I pads, droids and more are snuffing out hand written, type written and cursive literature. I love books. I have a small library myself. Something about books you could never get from computers. The smell, the feel, the need for those reading glasses and the imagination of books that I'm obsessed with.
That building is such a gem and it's a shame that all that history and architecture is being left to fall apart. Great explore. Your all make it look easy. Looking forward to seeing more. 👍😁

Awesome exploration, I agree, it's a shame someone doesn't take some time to preserve either the house or the books in the library, god knows how many possible first edition are just rotting away in there. Well done for braving that security fence to give us a chance to see this video.
Great location, I really liked your narration about the history of this grand old home, it’s a crime it has just been left to rot! Thanks Sam and Jess I really enjoyed this video. 😎👍

Historic and original literature would be one sweet treasure to have. I do agree that there should be an historic preservation program in every town in every country where after so many years declared abandoned, the historic preservation group could go in and remove things like books, documents, etc and have library style archives for each place for people to visit without the fun adventures.

There is something wandering in the shadows. You don't see anything in the video...but the vibe is there. Makes you wonder why they let a place go to shit that beautiful.
I would love to come to one of your adventures wow 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍
