She's performing the song live but it's the studio album track. It's a great song and she's an amazing singer, it was the year 2000 and for some reason earlier in her career her record company wouldn't allow her to do many actual LIVE performances even on tv. That was on tv. She could only perform the songs live while on tour during her concerts: (Palabra de Mujer Tour, Minage Tour,) but for tv presentations they didn't provide her w/the live band expenses. She did perform Sobreviviré LIVE at the Pavarotti & Friends concert in Italy in 2000 and you should see it cause it's a great performance and she sounds amazing LIVE. Later after she took a hiatus of 7.5 years and returned to music on her own terms in 2008 w/her new album "Tarántula" her 6th studio album. She toured w/Tarántula and immediately recorded a LIVE DVD/CD called "Stage" a rock concert. Also: the background vocals are her own!

She is amazing! And you haven't even heard her other singing voices either. 👍🏼😀 If you want a great video to watch on your own time of her in ine of her concerts, I recommend the song Desatame. Amazing!! And yes, her background singers are amazing!!! They had to be the best because in the original recording, it is Monica hitting all those notes and then layered into the song. Just amazing!
