Cardinality of Sets with Repeated Elements | Set Theory

How do repeated elements in a set effect its cardinality? We go over this with examples in today's set theory video lesson. The short answer is that repeated elements do not effect the cardinality of a set, because sets are defined only by the distinct elements they contain. Yup, unless we're considering multisets. As far as sets go, they are the same, and there'd be no reason to write it the second way.
