I have no idea why everyone hating on Nissans CVTs I am fine with the sound it makes. A couple of my family members have Nissans and the CVTs gets up to speed to merge or over take
Most of the time the cvt keeps the car below 2k rpm and yoindont even hear the engine. It's a low hp car so I like from a stop that it can sit at redline and the shifts are close together and "sharp"
You can buy a mazda instead as you can still get a regular 6 speed auto. Although my dad has a cvt in his honda hrv and it really isn't that bad as some people say. It's much better then the old nissan cvt's and it doesn't drone that much. I got used to it after driving a few times and it didn't bother me.
@mikenone4077 I drive a 2.0 altima. There isn't any done unless you really floor it then thsts called engine noise lol. All the power you could ever need is is less than 3k rpm anyway so I never really hear the engine and after just over 2k rpm it goes into a shifting pattern that mitigated the drone.
that idle sound kills me. this is almost everything that im looking for but hearing that thing just going off like that, especially with the hoed up cmon man
See it’s nicer now, and it has more features. But now it’s about $5,000 more expensive. For some people who just want this car probably won’t care, but for a few people it might be a bit less affordable
Yeah my local dealer is starting the base model around D 17k which is insanly cheap for a new car. The top ends are around 23k which again is really good pricing. But this model does add a ton of improvements that might be worth the extra money. Also I suspect in a few months to a year from now they will be discounting these pretty hard as well as Nissan America is not doing so hot and are telling dealers to sell at a loss 😊
@JohnGreg1959I think that a vehicle that has been properly maintained can be comparable to Toyota or Honda. No quite same level…no, but comparable. What you do get with the Nissan is more features (heated seats / wheel for example) / tech / safety tech (BSI/BSW for one) at a price a few thousand less than the other two brands. Add to that arguably better styling. I mean HR- V blah look exterior and Corolla cross bland interior. Looks do make a difference and I can see why some would choose a new 2025 Kicks above other options.
@JohnGreg1959I hear you on the cvt but I do know they have continued to improve design and manufacturing continually. Still doesn’t make up for over a decade of issues but I also think the issues stemmed primarily of routine maintenance not being completed either for a good number of the transmissions.
Thats a nice cute little commute car, the screen is well integrated to the dashboard(compared to Hyundai or Buick Envista), I like it. 32k(bet you can pay less than that), now my question Which one will you buy or lease Kicks or Envista?
I just can't get excited about this car. For the same money you can get a Mazda CX5 base trim. Quieter cabin, more horsepower, real automatic transmission, real carpeting (not trunk liner material).
Folks before you get too excited, just know that a small adult has no knee room in the back seat. They made the claim of segment leading cargo space at 30 cubic feet but it was at the expense of back seat knee room. Unless your a 75 lb japanese adult in the back seat, it might as well be a 2 seater. Very disappointed
yeah for me I never have anyone in the back. I usually have my seats folded down. Also this is a sub compact. Most are gonna have short back seats unfortunately
I have had many new nissans.great reliability and equipment levels.but this car has no power drivers seat no leather and not much power.will drive it but so far the 2025 vw taos looks better.
So you get a typical small crossover SUV with horrendous design, a small engine with way too little power, a CVT and horrible MPGs? Why would anyone buy this? It shouldn't be more than $22K. Nissan should get it with a hybrid system with twice the power.
It's called inflation. Prices are higher by 20% in the last 5 years. And I love the styling. But I do agree Nissan should sell hybrids in North America, just like in Europe.
I do like the refreshed look to it.
High road noise

Nice interior but that engine needs an energy boost
It has sports mode
I really am hoping they bring the hybrid model over (available in other countries) give a nice boost in power and performance
I love that this is the same size as a seltos
I have to say it is very nice equipped.
Cutting to the "spirirted" driving part.... this would be hell to merge onto the Merritt Parkway in... IFKYK.
Pretty quiet inside!
I love the styling but I’ll never like those terrible sounding CVT’s - thank you for such an informative video.

@@mikenone4077yes to Mazda 6sp but many people (see sales stats) are looking at max mpgs that cvts can provide …simple as that.
Every video is a real treat! Thank you for your creativity and professionalism.🫵🌪😼

I'd take it over the Honda HRV and Toyota Corolla Cross
Looks way better than those two vehicles.
Those are the three vehicles I’m considering!

Truly.
Corolla cross, hrv what is the price?
@@MrSelvin78in my area they are just starting around 28k...some are charging 30k for the base with AWD. So this is actually pretty good for the price

It's the same as the rogue

Weirdly, the Kicks has a low pitched chime compared to other redesigned nissans
That was the first thing I noticed. Kind of strange
They changed it for the 2024 and up model years
Nissan has a nice equipment for anything but traveling to other states in America though
Very cool design inside and out but it’s way underpowered for the price.
32k for 141HP CVT 😂
I’ve never seen a car struggle to get speed this bad
1.6 seria ideal motor 4 cilindro e mais cavalos por favor acima de 150 CV né merecia
holy shit that CVT is too noisy
👉🏼👹
That 2.0L desperately needs a turbo, 141HP is embarrassing, that engine is screaming just to get up to speed.
the car is look at alfa romeo
32k just turned me off.
Makes no sense that this car is not hybrid
not every car needs to be a hybrid and the hrv isn’t even hybrid either
peugeot 2008...
Motor barulhento em altas rotações....
But it’s not 2025 yet it’s 2024
It was created in the month or after the month of June so It would be considered a 2025

great car but its kind of crazy seeing the engine rev to 6k rpm to barely move
Well with 140 something HP it's not surprising.

I love the styling ... Does need lil more power but most ppl don't need it they drive too damn slow with more powerful cars ... It will sell good tho
