that was the least organic persuasion dialogue i’ve ever seen. he was seemingly under a passive hypnotism enchantment before suddenly regaining his sentience and extreme will to be gunned down mercilessly
From what I've seen, most persuasion checks are weird in this game. The enemy will flip 180 seemingly out of nowhere as long as the rng(I'm guessing) allows.
That’s persuasion mini-games for you, but it wasn’t the worst, I’ve seen plenty worse in clips from Fallout 4

The video definitely zooms in a bit, but yes it’s a little weird to get used to, that being said after the first or second time it zoomed heavily in during dialogue, I haven’t even noticed it anymore

@@user-NameName there's already a mod to change it on PC. But also it's just the Oblivion and Fallout 3 thing.

Ive been playing starfield myself and putting off sips playthrough, im so excited to watch when i do! i remember watching him play skyrim with the lizard wizard and the bucket murders xD
starfield didnt maybe live up to its hype but its as weird funny as oblivion and i love it. i wait for mods improving the gameplay and it will be 8 / 10 at least

Man, after coming from BG3, it really highlights just how terrible the writing and reactivity in Bethesda games are. This whole scene is just terrible in every possible way lol
The absolutely abysmal camera zoom at the beginning of every conversation is the cherry on top

its honestly really impressive. Bethesda's been redefining what unpolished mediocrity is year over year for decades now.

Starfield is the best game they've made since Morrowind, and Cyberpunk 2077 was buggier and less polished

If you weren't one of the people foolish enough to try and play it on console (they shouldn't have bothered trying to port it to consoles the hardware simply couldn't handle it) the game actually ran great, had relatively few issues, was infinitely more immersive and better written than a bethesda game has been for decades. I almost forgot what it was like when a game actually had something to say with its story until I played Cyberpunk. Fallout USED to be that way until Bethesda acquired it, turned it into grey-brown schlock, Obsidian came back, made an infinitely better game than Bethesda is even remotely capable of in a fraction of the time with a fraction of the resources (that actually had something to say), and they haven't been allowed to touch the IP since.
@@Dallas78256 I played it on PC on release and it was significantly buggier than starfield, which I've been playing on release. My idea of immersive must be different to yours - it doesn't include teleporting cops
@@bajscast but I suppose it does include dialogue that was written, charitably, by your friend groups amature dungeon master in his spare time? I would take minor visual bugs (the worst I experienced) if it means the game was written by thinking, breathing adults instead of children any day of the week. My idea of immersion involves a world that was crafted over the course of more than a year in Todd Howards garage, by violently jabbing and poking at Fallout 4 until it constitutes a significantly different enough product to appease a certain kind of *consumer* like yourself, who wants a several-lightyear-wide, seven inch deep kitty pool to wander around in until you get bored. There's no shame in it, really, everyone's got their thing.

Heh, I watched the "official gameplay vid" for Starfield, which was just narration and scripted cinematic, with about 6 seconds of actual gameplay (someone firing a gun and dropping some sort of mine or something), and that was it... Yet the comments were FILLED with "YEAHH CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS, IT LOOKS SO GOOOD!!!" etc.
Just looks like a Mass Effect with ship piloting and 'slightly' better graphics to me? All the hype clearly isn't organic.

@@BobT36 we must be seeing different things. Or subjected to different types of people. When all the trailers came out pretty much everything I saw was people jumping on a hate bandwagon talking about how starfield was going to be a complete failure, make no money, and be the worst thing Bethesda ever made, which is pretty unrealistic. The game was wayyy overheated prior to release and now that it’s released and people are realizing that it’s simply ok, not best thing ever but not horrible, people are going “huh, interesting”
