I was 14 when I first heard this song in the basement of my best friends house. I got my girlfriend pregnant and my life was in shambles. We had decided to keep the baby and I worked my ass off in between school and any other free time I had. My girlfriend was getting her stylist licence and we had so much loving support from both our families.... Around the 12 week point she had miscarried and truthfully..... I didn't know weather to be happy or sad ... All I know is it made me the person I am today. My wife has a salon of her own and i manage a warehouse . Together we just get by, but the love we have for one another is a direct result of a scared 14 yo who thought my life was over and faced the reality of the situation. Today we have two beautiful girls in which I would do anything for...... Every time I hear this song I think of that July night in my friends basement listening to a song which was echoing my life .....

how is it possible that they only film the people that don't sing along? I was there, and I literally screamed my heart out. I couldn't talk for one week.. :) it was awesome. great that they also played a fair number of old songs
I totally agree with hijlaa. Caleb called it 'one of the best moments of his whole life', Nathan and Jared were very positive on Twitter, and 'I Dont Care If Yall Dont Care' is a line of the original song.
People, please, stop whining about how a crowd should be. These people paid money to see this band, first prove you did. And you don't have to prove that, because whats the point? Why do you waste your time commenting on a UA-cam video about how much a crowd sucks or not. Go to a Kings of Leon concert instead. Just saying this once, because even I'm spending my good times on this, when I can listen to a great song. But I just had to say.
The original lyrics is "I don't care if you don't care" so I think he did get a little pissed that no one was singing along. When they performed at the O2 in London, the crowd was much better since it was their concert.
@Cynthia23crush must of been a great experience. im not sure if i would ever want to go to a festival...seems like soo much energy just to wait for a show and have a good view of the band. Yea concerts in US are sweet, place where i go its an indoor/outdoor concert arena. secturity guards will let anything go on its nuts.
@Kultbert Kings of Leon never interact with the fans. They ask how everyone is feeling, but that is it. They just play their songs... If a crowd doesn't feel the connection to a band, especially at a festival, and is just not in the mood to sing along, or just has no idea what to sing, it's not the crowds fault in the first place... The crowd is having a good time though, they are moving and having a blast. That's what counts...

I doubt it was directed at the crowd. This is one of their best songs and all of the crowd waving in synch is beautiful. Besides, if they did complain about the crowd being a little lackluster, it's their own fault because they don't really interact. But doubt that's the case. Both Nathan and Jared said on Twitter that they loved it and thought the crowd was good
The thing about Kings of Leon is half the fans never knew they where a band before sex on fire or use somebody came out. I wouldn't blame them for complaining about the crowd because they dont know most of the songs they perform
@hijlaa Yeah Well I went to a concert in Sydney and for the whole concert they never spoke a word to us , except for singing the songs. there was no encouragement or funny stories or anything, except toward the end , Caleb asked everyone to get off their ass , and so they did and everyone got into it alot more. I think KOL should learn from a band like MB20 or Coldplay about how to "play" to a crow cause theyrve got great hits.!

They SOUND great, but that's it. The other headliners at Pinkpop (Foo Fighters and Pinkpop) are perfect examples. Sound great live, have good, sometimes mediocre songs, but they also perform and get the crowd going. Same with when they went to Reading. Angry because the crowd was awful. Well, they didn't get encouraged.....
