    I love this podcast because I relate to his hunting style more then any other I've heard. I've been using two different brands leafy Gillie suits Top/bottom to break up my outline . I feel like deer look right past me 95% of the time. I also carry a back pack with a small chair and a turkey half blind. I've been hunting this way since 2008. I also carry my saddle platform at times for a chair.

    I got my 1st ghillie 6 year's ago. And at the time I had only been hunting for 2 year's. My 1st sit in it I was just off a deer trail up against the side of a big bush. I never heard anything coming until all a sudden I felt something breathing on my neck it was so close. Then it stomp 3 time's trying to get me to move. I was frozen solid for what seemed like forever. But it was maybe a min, so I slowly turn around and he was just gone like he was never even there. I've gave up stand hunting ever since. I've also had doe walk 5ft in front of me without a care in the world. I've got 3 ghillies and 2 leaf suites to cover any part of the hunting season. I'm the only one out of my friends the use them and they all give me 💩 about it. But I've harvested more deer in the last 5 year's then all 4 of them combined. I went from tree stands, to blinds to ground hunting only. It's not for everyone but nothing ever is. Great episode guy's

      Great video. What size jacket do you wear in the first lite phantom?

    • @Bigpoppyj
      @Bigpoppyj Місяць тому

      @@madisondad6070 XL. I’m 6-3 220 I have extremely long arms for my frame as well. I usually mix and match my Ghillie depending where I’m hunting. I usually wear my phantom top all day just about every hunt & it’s very comfortable and very breathable as well. Usually where I’m hunting it’s hard to wear in my traditional Ghillie because it’s so thick & covered in briars. I’ve noticed the first lite works perfect to get in there quiet. I will pack in a second Ghillie just incase I decide to hunt a different colored vegetation. You def won’t go wrong buying the First lite.

      This is Todd btw. I didn’t go into all the details but I looked for the buck over a week with no Luck. We had very bad weather around the time and I even looked during that. It’s on public and others were also hunting the same area. This was on a very crowded / pressured wma. After over a week of looking there was nothing else to do but wait till after season.
      This area has a ton of hunters constantly and after a week of looking. I could ruin the area for everyone else.
      Just FYI. You shouldn’t judge a person without knowing details.
