Dumbest comment 😂 It’s debatable whether Lewa had a better season than Messi or Ronaldo. It’s that Lewas stats are more impactful because he doesn’t produce those numbers every year like the other two do. Statistically the quality of their seasons was similar (Messi with less goals but a la Liga record for assists). The difference between Messi and Ronaldo is that without the otherworldly goal scoring, Ronaldo is an elite player but not on a whole other level like he was 5 years ago. He doesn’t have better dribbling, passing etc than other players so when his goal scoring is similar, he doesn’t stand out in the same way. When Messi’s stats drop, he’s still the best dribbler, passer, most creative player with the best vision on the planet, and that we’ve ever seen. This means despite his stats not being what they were, he’s still ahead of the rest. Which is why Messi stays ahead of Lewa as a player and Ronaldo doesn’t.

All Ronaldo is at this stage of his career is a goal scorer. He’s been above everyone else for years because of his goal scoring. His goal scoring is still great but it’s not on another level to everyone else like it used to be, so he’s not ahead of everyone like that anymore. Messi had a worse STATISTICAL season, but his ability in terms of dribbling, passing etc is still far superior to everyone else. That’s why he stays ahead when his stats drop. Ronaldo is more reliant on goalscoring and stats to be considered t2 in the world than Messi.
