    Hey just came across your channel
    Your work is amazing
    Can u guide how to design the pattern for a smaller or bigger size ball?
    Like from which round should we stop increasing according to the diameter of the half ball we are using?

    What size Pokemon will fit inside this Pokeball? Like the Bulbasaur in the beginning of this video?

    hello :) thank you so much for uploading this.
    I'm trying to make this for my one-year anniversary with my boyfriend and I've got a question... I got a bigger mold (13.8 mm instead of 12), do I need to adjust the number of rows I make? Thank you!

    • @SkeinSpider
      @SkeinSpider  2 роки тому +1

      Hi! Please take these suggestions with a grain of salt, as they're more speculation on my part because I haven't used a larger mould before but you could try:
      A) Crocheting the pattern as is but use a larger hook size (I'd try half a hook size larger first, then maybe a full hook size if that's not enough).
      or B) Adding some additional increase rounds. This will mean you'd have to adjust the stitches to create the 'face' of the pokeball though.
      Good luck!

    I am stuck on row 22. I have recounted and recounted. When I crochet 74 sts. I end up with 2 stitches at the end instead of one free stitch. The stitch that you pull through at the end of previous round, does count as your leftover stitch? I'm sorry if I didn't word this well.
    Thank you so much for this free pattern! My grandson is so excited about this project. Your pattern design abilities amaze me!

    hi I am trying to make this for my pokemon themed wedding next year as the party favours and going ot make pokemon cookies and get special hard candies in a plastic bag inside. I am only learning to crochet for this. I can chain but not do the magic loop. will this matter in the starting if i chain 6 and join together? does the first round start at that point where i join the chain to its tail or do i need to go around them once first and the next one is round 1? Sorry if that sounded stupid, i just want to do these right as it looks like i will needto do 80 of them and prefer to get the first one correct.

      Hi, it doesn't sound stupid at all! We all start of as newbies. This is what I would recommend if you want to start with a chain instead of a magic circle: chain two, then in the second chain from the hook (which in this case is the very first chain) do six single crochet.
      This is a sort of cheaty magic circle. From there just follow the instructions. So, for round two, put an increase in each of the six single crochet you just made and so on.
      Hope that helps!
      Also, your Pokemon themed wedding sounds amazing!! Such a cool idea.

    When you connect each round of the magic circle do you have to connect them with a stitch or just start by increasing.

      Just continue working in a continuous spiral, no joining stitches are used.

      I think it's purely there for stability as the thread would be a bit floppy on its own. I got Christmas ornament kits for a few dollars from Hobby Lobby that are virtually the same size as needed.

    How would it work with a smaller size mold?

    • @SkeinSpider
      @SkeinSpider  2 роки тому

      The mould would probably just move around a little inside the crocheted pieces. How much would depend on exactly how small the mould is in comparison to the crochet.

    What happens if I Don't use the bath bomb mould? I can still make the pokeball and it will hold the round form by itself?

    • @SkeinSpider
      @SkeinSpider  3 роки тому

      You can do it but it won't hold the shape nearly as well.
