My ola battery suddenly stopped from 30% to zero percent.* I was on the highway and my spouse was with me. It left us very unsafe at lonely place. RSA service is worse. They took 20 hours in providing service. Ola listens nothing except informing the RSA party. You guys will feel cheated if you own ola. I am that much frustrated that I may be the second person in india to throw my Ola scooter in fire very soon... 😭😭 I lost my hardly earned 1.44 lakhs rupees.

Next day i got called from service center and found thay my battery is silently dead and need to intall new battery. NMC cells can be shorted internally after deep discharge due to anode copper dissolution and re deposition. This would cause a fire when you attempt to recharge. They did the right thing by inhibiting charge but their sleep mode current is too high. The vehicle should not go into deep discharge for at least 6 months even if you leave it at 0% displayed SoC. Even worse, looks like their SoC does not update when the vehicle is off. The 97% that you saw was probably a month old reading. I suspect that you turning on the vehicle to check the battery level drained out whatever was remaining.
Ather is not the best they just have good service now. Ather motor is winey , ather needs to be maintained every 5000km you have to waste your time inorder to avail warrenty you have to do service. In ola only service when the system says there is problem. Ola s1 is 30k rs less priced than same range ather. Ather waiting time is 6 months in coimbatore even after prebooking. Ather also dont have cooling for battery only for motor.

Ola should have satisfaction guarantee. If customer with proof doesn't like the vehicle within 6 months it can be returned and entire money has to be refunded back within a week. Spending more than a Lakh and you get some scrap.... Not worth

Hi Bro, This feature we are calling them as Holiday mode. When we kept the scooter idle for a few days . Ola sense is using some amount battery for daily usage. 1. Ola is suggesting we need to keep the battery for 100% charge before leaving the vehicle idle. 2. Bhavish is saying that they are looking into this issue because it will be resolved in move os 2 beta but we need to check that once its available. 3. For battery replacement current it's is taking around 10-15 days depends on battery availability. I am sharing this info which I got it from what's up groups 😃😃
There are significant numbers of issues with ola e bikes. I think it's better to stay away from ola. I've an e scooter.... Its cheap Chinese... I can't even remember the company's name. For Rs. 68000/- It served me well till now.
Bro when you came back from the trip you should had reset the ola and it would have shown you the real range anyways all the best with the Ola support team.

Generally there is 2-3% drop per idel day.. Hope your issue is resolved. Just speak to the area service manager or regional service manager, response is much quicker

As per latest updates they are asking customers to pay, but I would suggest you to highlight this problem on twitter and tag ola electric. Hopefully they might help you. My immediate suggestion is to pay for ola care plus, if you don’t have one and then request for emergency service from the ola electric app.
There is a issue with my Battery. The charge got reduced from 45% to 3% , 3 times. I got indicator message, Please charge to proceed. I had to push bike 2km to a charging point, Then it charged to 45% in 15 minutes. First wrote to customer support, no reply, then it happened again near my house charge dropped from 68% to 3%, Pushed bike home, Don't have charging access at home, and neighbours are not helpful. Called Customer Service on 4th Saturday, Service team came on Sunday, Bike was dead, could not tow it as handle was locked, and charger was in the boot. Now OLA Had a resolution, A Specialist technician Suresh came and with his tools. Sorted it out. Scooter was taken, on 7th Scooter was delivered by a rider from OLA Service team. Excellent timing, Battery was replaced, Scooter Updated and charged to 100%.
There is 3-4 percent of battery drop daily in ola scooter You should reboot your scooter once you reach home after 27 days than it shows original battery percentage which i think is 3-4 percent if you charge your scooter on first day battery doesn't goes in sleep mode and you will be fine

I have faced the same issue of sudden range drop . Ola replaced the complete battery pack with a controller after 15 days in the service center . I have sold Ola and booked Honda Activa 125 in 1lkh and waiting for the scooter 🛴. Peace of mind and you can trust the range of petrol . EV market is not matured now in india and companies testing the product with customers. So atleast 3yr indian EV market needs to provide reliable ,trust worthy scooters .

i got the same issue, this is happening due to battery drain , ola barrtery will drain some percent every day even you not using it, but the software is unable to show that drops, so only u have to restart ur ola every 2 days then u get real statistics of the battery, same was told by ola technician to me, now that bug is fixed in 1.0.30 update, i am also from Hyderabad SR Nagar. they took my bike to service center told me that battery dead and then they given new battery, now my bike working fine, i just not used my ola for 2 days and it was 45% battery then suddenly dead after 3 days, then ola technician told all this story and told me to restart every 2 days the i can see the battery drop and actual statistics, now that issue i think they fixed in 1.0.30

I would suggest you to have a video evidence to show them the proof that you had a changed battery 🔋 when the problem occurred. Take screen recording from the app as well. And drop the scooter as soon as possible at the old service center. The more you delay and the app also shows 0% then they will ask us to pay for the new battery. My personal suggestion, don’t wait for them to come. As soon as possible take it to the service center.

Hey! I also faced same issue 1 month ago, I also left my scooter idle for almost 20 days with 40% charge. I suspect it happened due to scooter has no shut down (power off) mode which leads scooter to use battery in idle condition, too. Therefore battery faces deep discharge. Now you have to replace whole battery pack. In my case it was first service which my scooter used so ola service center didn't charge me anything (I feel really lucky because I have not selected RSA and Zero dept insurance add-ons in my insurance policy else I don't know how much I have to pay for it). Atleast ola should told us about it at delivery time. So we could atleast mentally prepare for this scenario. Or we could take precaution actions for it (like, we can ask a relative or a friend about it so they charge scooter every 3-4 days in our absence)

Your battery is 100% discharge so it can’t be charging through normal charger. This problem fancing in inverter battery too. Only service centre will help you. Your mistake is you need to restart when you come home after trip. You need to restart minimum once in a week in 1.0.16 version to get correct battery status. This problem is solved in 1.0.30 and move os.

The same thing happened with me when the scooter was left untouched for only 5 days. After a long wait for service they took my vehicle and kept with them for around 20 days and no one contacted me regarding my vehicle. I tried calling the customer service again and again but no one gave me the number of the service person. Then when I threatened them about reporting the incident to the police they connected me to the service guy and he told me that the battery was dead and it will be replaced which will take again 7 days. Finally after a long wait the scooter was delivered to me
You need to call RSA to get a repair. You have to reset your scooter to get accurate range if it is sitting for time. This is supposed fixed in os2. Most scooters lose charge when parked. Os2 is coming in June. They already contacted me in Bangalore and booked an appointment for June 1 to upgrade the software. Keep calling RSA, and don't talk to cs as they are useless for repairs. You can request support on twitter and call cs to see if they can get you on new sw soon. Never keep the charger stored in the bike. Charge at least weekly and preferably daily if you use the bike so you don't get stranded. It will be much better in os2. Hopefully it will be resolved for you soon. It is a new bike with first generation buggy software

I did hear the same situation from other channel. I cancelled my booking just before registration. I mean I received the Vagan OTP but I did not share the OTP to complete the registration instead asked them to initiate the cancellation. The team called me and said it's not possible since chassis number reservation and insurance are all done. I explained all the issues I heard to them and asked them to cancel it. Somehow the cancelled the booking and got my money within 10days. I lost the trust with Ola hence cancelled the booking.
@@nisam1637 yes, but it was returned to the same mode of payment. I made the payment through credit card and I made the due as well. But the amount 1.19 lac + 20k were transferred to the same card. Then I have no other choice other than using the card for all my transaction 😀.
Simply you should have started restarted the ola, and checked the percentage, it would have been perfectly. You know it very well ola has a bug till 1.16 that it shows the right percentage after a drop..

same problem with me have to reboot my bike again and again for charging
There is a issue with my Battery.
The charge got reduced from 45% to 3% , 3 times.
I got indicator message, Please charge to proceed. I had to push bike 2km to a charging point, Then it charged to 45% in 15 minutes.
First wrote to customer support, no reply, then it happened again near my house charge dropped from 68% to 3%, Pushed bike home, Don't have charging access at home, and neighbours are not helpful.
Called Customer Service on 4th Saturday, Service team came on Sunday, Bike was dead, could not tow it as handle was locked, and charger was in the boot. Now OLA Had a resolution, A Specialist technician Suresh came and with his tools. Sorted it out. Scooter was taken, on 7th Scooter was delivered by a rider from OLA Service team.
Excellent timing, Battery was replaced, Scooter Updated and charged to 100%.

There is 3-4 percent of battery drop daily in ola scooter
You should reboot your scooter once you reach home after 27 days than it shows original battery percentage which i think is 3-4 percent
if you charge your scooter on first day battery doesn't goes in sleep mode and you will be fine

They will replace your battery, they may take 5-6 days to respond to your query and another week to replace the battery, just got my ola 2 days back, faced the same issue, they call it as deep drain
Now I don't know what replacement did they give me, whether it's used battery or new, that I can't check.

Bro same thing happened to mu Ola after persistent follow up with ola they towed NY scooter for repair after 5 days.
And they told me that batteries and deep discharged and they will change battery.
I got my scooter after 17 days.

I have faced the same issue of sudden range drop . Ola replaced the complete battery pack with a controller after 15 days in the service center . I have sold Ola and booked Honda Activa 125 in 1lkh and waiting for the scooter 🛴. Peace of mind and you can trust the range of petrol . EV market is not matured now in india and companies testing the product with customers. So atleast 3yr indian EV market needs to provide reliable ,trust worthy scooters .

i got the same issue, this is happening due to battery drain , ola barrtery will drain some percent every day even you not using it, but the software is unable to show that drops, so only u have to restart ur ola every 2 days then u get real statistics of the battery, same was told by ola technician to me, now that bug is fixed in 1.0.30 update, i am also from Hyderabad SR Nagar. they took my bike to service center told me that battery dead and then they given new battery, now my bike working fine, i just not used my ola for 2 days and it was 45% battery then suddenly dead after 3 days, then ola technician told all this story and told me to restart every 2 days the i can see the battery drop and actual statistics, now that issue i think they fixed in 1.0.30

@@AVAutoTech They replaced with new battery then my bike started working, they told me to restart ola for every 2 days to get latest statistics % of the battery, i seen for every restart my battery % is decreasing, 4 days back i have upgraded my bike os from 1.0.16 to 1.0.30, after that i feel this bug is resolved, even i restart battery % same , OS automatically detecting battery % drop when i unlock my bike every day, night my battery % was 64 before sleep then next day i unlock its reduced to 63%, so this 1.0.30 automatically updating statistics now without reboot, but still i am doing reboot every 2 days and before charge up to i get confident that bug is fixed, always charge ur bike before 30% never it go dead to 0% then it will not charge, when i got this issue i tried to charge diffrent chargers and tried charging ling time of 4hrs but still no use, battery will not charge. i prchased "Meco Energy Meter" also to check charging is happening or not, if its started charging it shows 700W reading, if not charging then 4W.

I OWN A OLA S1 , FACING A PROBLEM FROM YESTERDAY , THE SCOOTER WENT COMPLETELY DEAD , WITH A BATTERY PERCENTAGE OF 98 , IT IS NOT EVEN RESPONDING ON REBOOT/RESET BUTTONS , ALSO NO RESPONSE ON CONNECTING THE CHARGER . MEANWHILE ON THE APP ITS SHOWING CHARGE LEFT FOR 102 KM (IE.., YES 96 PERCENT ) , ON THE APP IF I AM SELECTING SCOOTER LOCK/UNLOCK , IT SHOWS THE ANIMATION OF BEING LOCKED/UNLOCKED BUT PHYSICALLY THERE IS NO RESPONSE , JUST A DEAD SCREEN AND SCOOTER
I would suggest you to have a video evidence to show them the proof that you had a changed battery 🔋 when the problem occurred. Take screen recording from the app as well. And drop the scooter as soon as possible at the old service center.
The more you delay and the app also shows 0% then they will ask us to pay for the new battery.
My personal suggestion, don’t wait for them to come. As soon as possible take it to the service center.

@@Yash-f6j6e according to the new rule they have, if the battery is drained to 0% it is the customer’s fault and they need to pay for it. Don’t take any chances, I strongly advise to get this done ASAP.

Hey! I also faced same issue 1 month ago, I also left my scooter idle for almost 20 days with 40% charge. I suspect it happened due to scooter has no shut down (power off) mode which leads scooter to use battery in idle condition, too. Therefore battery faces deep discharge. Now you have to replace whole battery pack.
In my case it was first service which my scooter used so ola service center didn't charge me anything (I feel really lucky because I have not selected RSA and Zero dept insurance add-ons in my insurance policy else I don't know how much I have to pay for it).
Atleast ola should told us about it at delivery time. So we could atleast mentally prepare for this scenario. Or we could take precaution actions for it (like, we can ask a relative or a friend about it so they charge scooter every 3-4 days in our absence)

@@AVAutoTech Delivery was done on 23rd March and got damaged on 26th March then after 6 days they took to service center on 1st April and returned back on 10th April Now again on 12th April damaged again same issue is repeating 3 times

Highly possible that ur batteries will be replaced by ola soon bro because that is what they do.
Your battery is 100% discharge so it can’t be charging through normal charger. This problem fancing in inverter battery too. Only service centre will help you. Your mistake is you need to restart when you come home after trip. You need to restart minimum once in a week in 1.0.16 version to get correct battery status. This problem is solved in 1.0.30 and move os.

The same thing happened with me when the scooter was left untouched for only 5 days. After a long wait for service they took my vehicle and kept with them for around 20 days and no one contacted me regarding my vehicle. I tried calling the customer service again and again but no one gave me the number of the service person. Then when I threatened them about reporting the incident to the police they connected me to the service guy and he told me that the battery was dead and it will be replaced which will take again 7 days. Finally after a long wait the scooter was delivered to me
You need to call RSA to get a repair. You have to reset your scooter to get accurate range if it is sitting for time. This is supposed fixed in os2. Most scooters lose charge when parked. Os2 is coming in June. They already contacted me in Bangalore and booked an appointment for June 1 to upgrade the software. Keep calling RSA, and don't talk to cs as they are useless for repairs. You can request support on twitter and call cs to see if they can get you on new sw soon. Never keep the charger stored in the bike. Charge at least weekly and preferably daily if you use the bike so you don't get stranded. It will be much better in os2. Hopefully it will be resolved for you soon. It is a new bike with first generation buggy software
Pathetic OLA. Guys don't purchase it. I purchased Ola 1 month back. Very poor material quality it has. Fiber irritating sound from everywhere. Seat is very weak. You will feel like it may bend and you may go in its boot.
*Blunder happened yesterday in evening. My ola battery suddenly stopped from 30% to zero percent.*
I was on the highway and my spouse was with me. It left us very unsafe at lonely place. RSA service is worse. They took 20 hours in providing service. Ola listens nothing except informing the RSA party.

I did hear the same situation from other channel. I cancelled my booking just before registration. I mean I received the Vagan OTP but I did not share the OTP to complete the registration instead asked them to initiate the cancellation. The team called me and said it's not possible since chassis number reservation and insurance are all done. I explained all the issues I heard to them and asked them to cancel it. Somehow the cancelled the booking and got my money within 10days. I lost the trust with Ola hence cancelled the booking.

@@nisam1637 yes, but it was returned to the same mode of payment. I made the payment through credit card and I made the due as well. But the amount 1.19 lac + 20k were transferred to the same card. Then I have no other choice other than using the card for all my transaction 😀.

Simply you should have started restarted the ola, and checked the percentage, it would have been perfectly. You know it very well ola has a bug till 1.16 that it shows the right percentage after a drop..
