YAY! Fr. Denis! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this!! ♥
I agree completely. I went to Catholic school for 12 years. After college I went back to work in the Catholic schools for many years. Here’s my take on the way Catholic schools should run:
1. All Catholic schools, both elementary and high schools, should be run by either nuns or priests.
2. The boys need to be separated from the girls
3. All curriculum taught have got to be classical, vetted, and continually monitored by the administrators and the parents
4. Every subject taught in a Catholic school has got to be integrated with Catholic teaching and from a Catholic perspective
Finally a video without you slandering the Holy pope Francis
Thank you .
Which encyclical?
I would wish that there were more single sex schools.
My kids schools are all co-ed. The archdiocesan high schools are all co-ed these days. They merged all of the single sex schools together. There is only one all girls high school, but no all boys high schools in the Archdiocese of Minneapolis.
However, most grade schools have always been co-ed since the beginning. It wasn't until high school when they were segregated according to sex.
Even the traditional Catholic high schools have to be co-ed because they don't have the ability to segregate the high school since there aren't enough resources to do so. Also, there are too few traditional Catholic high school students to justify setting up separate schools for them.
I agree with what he is saying. I think schools for girls and schools for boys schools are better, no distractions and all that. They can "mix" outside, it's all gone totally nuts!
