  • Australian Army and Republic of Fiji Military Forces soldiers are working side-by-side at Wilsons Creek in northern New South Wales to rebuild a community access road damaged by floodwaters.
Defence continues to contribute to the Australian Government's support to the Queensland and New South Wales governments under Operation Flood Assist 2022. During Operation Flood Assist 2022, approximately 7000 Australian Defence Force personnel were available for tasking in Queensland and New South Wales.
Australian Defence Force personnel continue to provide aerial search and rescue, medical evacuation and reconnaissance, as well as clearing routes in flood-affected areas, supporting communities in clean-up and the delivery of essential supplies to isolated areas.
