I liked Cinderella 3. What do you think about a G.I. Joe Month? You could review Rise of Cobra, Retaliation, Snake Eyes, and then Resolute. I know Resolute is not a movie, but it can be you reward.
The worst thing about Nick and Charlieze Theron's plan is that there is no way they could have predicted that Rudy would pretend to be Nick. Like they were banking everything on him pulling a Dear Evan Hansen! What would they have done if he had decided to actually do the right thing and tell Charlieze Theron that Nick was "dead"?
"you were nick's cellmate for years, now he is dead, he must have told you about the robbery, now you tell us or we pull your ballhairs one by one with twezers" or some other cliche bullshit
Then you go Plan B and she tries to ask him to "comfort" her through the night over her loss. Still gets roped in with "my crazy brother" routine and movie almost plays straight the rest of the way up to the big reveal.
I like how everyone remembers Nick's name, yet nobody remembers the name of Theron's character. I don't even remember NC mentioning it, although i'm sure he did. Does it mean that Affleck actually portrayed his character quite well?
Hold on, the last twist to be shown in this review was the fact that M. Night is in it at the end, and because “Old” is based on existing IP, we start off the new year with Old…yeah, next season is going to be fun.
Dammit, I was hoping the next video would be for Glass, but now hearing you say "Old director" makes me think otherwise. I mean, Old was just kinda... there. But Glass was such a monumental fuck-up of two good predecessors, that it seems right up NC's alley.
Two things: I could tell this movie was "so bad it's good" before the review ended. And the way Shyamalan appeared at the end was actually kind of creepy.
Up until that last twist, this actually looked like and entertaining film. I do have a weird fascination with stories who know that everyone in them is awful and they are just there to entertain you. It's like reading a Crossed comic. You know that there is no light at the end of that tunnel, but you are just there because the ride in that tunnel is just so cool!
That sounds like that famous quote from Siskel and Ebert, where one of them said they “hated, hated hated this movie.” I can’t remember what they were talking about though.
Compared to Snow White and the Huntsman, the Huntsman: Winter's War and A Million Ways to Die in the West, I think Ms. Theron might need to change her mind about what she said about Reindeer Games.
I loved this movie for how ridiculously insane it was! Although, I agree... it would have been even better going even more over-the-top. Oh, and thank you for promoting the Ronald McDonald House. My wife and I donate to them a lot. They can also use volunteers at times to prepare meals for the people staying there. To my knowledge, they're doing that because of Covid, but hopefully soon people will be able to volunteer their time to give these people a good cooked meal while they're staying in these amazing places. Thank you again and have a Happy New Year!
I always thought of this movie as something like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where everyone is selfish and only looking to benefit themselves. And it's their greed that makes them stupid
I saw this with my buddies when I was nineteen and we laughed our asses off about how bad it was. I still remember it after all these years so that has to mean something.
I've heard of Reindeer Games, but I never seen it outside of the trailer for it. But I am curious to check it out as R-rated Christmas movies are kind of unique for me to see, even if it doesn't work out. By the way, with M. Night Shyamalan being the next subject for the start of the new year, I do believe the next review will be Old (2021). Based on Doug's review of the movie months ago, I have a feeling that will be the next film he'll review as the NC.
I was looking for something to watch last night that was kind of a Christmas film and kind of not since it’s after Christmas, too. So, my pick last night was “Iron Man 3”, lol. It doesn’t deserve the hate it gets and I think it’s my favorite solo Iron Man film.

Even Ghostbusters 2016 made 230 million on 144 million making it barely disappointing...... Some people don't seem to grasp that a movie isn't a bomb just because you don't like it.
Far from a first among Charlize's many early nude scenes. "2 Days In He Valley", "Celebrity", "The Devil's Advocate" and "Cider House Rules" come to mind as setting a nudity precedent leading up to "Raindeer Games".
