ikr, like something about the scene as a whole there hits different, the sun glare, the music, and especially just how tired the L4D2 survivors look, even in the next scene over with nick leaning against the railing. Something about the Parish campaign invokes a weird feeling, I wanna say dread but that doesn't sound 100% right so I'll fall back to the classic 'emotion that doesn't exist' but it definitely hits hard.

Use BSPSource to decompile the maps first. Then open any of those decompiled maps in hammer (their name ends in "_d"). Some of them won't compile correctly because there are some problems, you can check them with ctrl+P, and if you don't want to look at the one that is causing the problem you can choose to remove all of them (but sometimes fog or other effects will disappear, and missing textures will be replaced with a default one). Afterwards you run the map to compile them, with vrad and vvis selected on normal, and HDR checked. It should work then.

BJ Meep Johnson If you download the Left 4 Dead DLC directly from SFM, you will get all Left 4 Dead 2 models (including infected) recompiled for sfm. If you are not sure how to download that there's a video tutorial that shows how to download DLC's properly; maybe you want to see Jimer Lins's SFM Tip of the Day #74
i did all that and nothing worked so i`ll try reinstalling SFM and see if i have any luck then which i probably wont but its worth a try thanks again for the help :)

Okay, I’ll admit that this use of the song is actually badass. Normally I’d think it’s toxic (my friends used to play it 24/7 and it got annoying) but it’s actually practical here so... Also the SFM work is absolutely amazing. Good job on that.
