Our two cents. When you restore the setup, build concrete buildings to house most if not all the equipment then build a secondary concrete building with concrete roof to house the panels. There should be people on standby to take down the installation when a hurricane is going to hit or pass close. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Next time please be more proactive. 🇯🇲
Or just position it on the land in a way that it does not reap the full force. I am not sure if you are Kayak. But we too can have a say now is the time. Better planning won't go amiss.
Hurricane is a reality whether it's every year or every 20 yrs there no excuse for not planning for Hurricane. As someone pointed more thought should go into protecting such investment.
Every home should theirs on their land. Give the home owners the responsibility of their energy usage... Greed sounds like the factor here.... But Mother Nature Knows Best
Energy Sufficiency should NOT be costly for the residents. It should be cost effective... All round. Look at that land, a playground for the children and residents should be here....
Nothing on that installation looks like it was designed for 160 -180 mph winds, which be the norm for a utility grade installation in a hurricane area.
It is well known fact that carricoua has no defence when hurricane comes.so if ifsolar installed should be done with mechanisms that are easily dismantled.logical 👍
