i gotta say. i just finished building this kit, and i am super impressed by just how intimidating he looks standing there with his wide side binder shoulders. i didn't really have many of the issues that you had. the waist for mine doesnt really have a whole lot of issues and he seems rather solid for me.
Actually rrobbert, Bandai DID make an MG Trans-Am Raiser last October 2011. The only sad thing is that it's just a pink MG 00 Raiser box in terms of boxart, and it's a Limited Edition Japan-Only Release. You're lucky to find one of these on sale on the shop sites!
We definitively need more 00 MG villains. Reborns is homeage, 0 Gundam is fanservice, Overflag's(or Masurao/Susanoo) pilot was popular, GNX IV could use the GNX inner frame and so on.
You can stiffen up the joints by putting a thin coat of tamiya grey paint on them (especially in the torso, hip-leg pegs, and feet). I did that and the kit stands perfectly still and becomes perfectly stable when 0 raiser is attached. I give this kit 9.8/10. It is a great build and the white plastic is much more solid and higher in quality compared to 00Qs. My only complaint is that the V-fin is too thin and I feel like one slipped finger can break it, both yellow and white fin.

You should panel line pretty much any kit you get, just use some of the grey and black gundam lining markers and a q-tip to wipe off excess. Don't worry if it looks terrible while you're drawing it on, once you wipe it off with the q-tip everything looks fine.
They should have added 6 lights because in the show, GN particles are being produced from the main body of the 0 Raiser so they should have added a sixth place for a LED, but that is just me
@The1234doe mostly because it's one thing to "see" the other meisters get some attention, it's entirely another to suggest that enough people would actually buy those kits for bandai to make a profit.
This was definitely a treat to build, without a doubt. I'm glad I chose this as my first master grade and it definitely made the perfect first impression on modelling as a whole. If there's one thing I regret when buying this it's the fact that I didn't get a action base to put it in the air, but that's something I can take care of this Christmas. It seems like we had a lot of similar opinions on the problems (though the lack of LEDs doesn't bother me really) and the positives.
hey rrobbert there's a secret or not on the arms(the shoulder part)just push it harder until you hear or feel a big click that makes it perfectly secure the hint is the shoulder armor must not move loose
This truly is a great build. Talking about the clear parts on the leg and arm, yes they are very lose so what I did is just glue them in. And the the upper arm joint, I've put a bit of tissues in the joint so it give the extra grip on the arm. Otherwise I would say, BUY IT. And....... I want MG 0 Gundam!!!! XP
They should make a perfect grade 00 Qan t for a final because that gives them a chance to fix all the weight problems with 00 Raiser and 00 Qan t add with the parts that can fall off. Oh I just remembered a way to fix the arms and weight issues, is you put clear scotch tape on the areas that have less friction in will make it tighter and may fix the problem for you. But this is just a theory so it may work or may not work. So yeah.
I doubt they will make them in the coming 5 years, but eventually I expect them to make MG Dynames (popularity) MG 0Gundam (RX-78-2 Homage, Amuro voiceactor piloting it) and maybe GNX Variations.
Definitly noticed the issues with some parts falling off when i had the 0 Raiser combined with the 00 Gundam. So now I'm having them displayed seperatly on two connected display bases for one large display of the two seperate models. At least until i get bored and combine them again
After building the HG Seven Sword G kit, i'm so ready to pick up that MG when it's released. It's nice to know how the core kit is since its basically the same as this one. And the rest of the parts are just non moving sword weapons
@rey2103 It went together pretty well. Cut a few parts too close and trying to get replacements from Bandai but nothing that effects the total build. Want to get some paint eventually and touch it up but for now it sits on an action base in my living room.
Well, even if they don't make MG 00 Allies now, doesn't mean they won't later...I mean, they're only just making this one-after-the-other rapid release of the 5 main Endless Waltz Gundams, so that means you can't rule out a later-date release for new MGs of the series, or even SEED... ...that said, I would fucking LOVE and MG Reborns, Seravee, and Harute.
i noticed the green parts popping off so i secured them with a tiny bit of glue. i had to do the same with my OOQ though :P and about other OO MGs... i would KILL for a MG dynames!
I think this looks beautiful. I have the Clear Green Celestial Being Stand when I bought the 1/100, so it'll probably be used for this when I get it. As for other master grades, I'd say Lockon's Gundams should see some MG loving. But it'd be so lovely if they do what Bandai is doing with Wing now. I don't mind waiting, I'd just love to see all 4 Meisters' gundams in MG. Anyways, enjoyed the review. You've completely sold me on getting the LED units as well xD
It's unfair for Setsuna's Gundams to get all the glory when it comes to gunpla. It's been a very long time and we haven't seen an MG Seravee, an MG Cherudim, or even an MG Arios.

hey rob, i think they should make MGs of the allies form seasons 1&2! dynames, kyrios, and virtue/nadleh in MG would be epic! plus cheridum, archer/arios (you cant forget soma), and seravee/seraphim would be sweet. nice review btw, now i just need to save up the money to get it, exia, and qan(t).
I loved this kit it was an amazing build and putting it next to my 1/100 no grade cherudim i am hoping for the rest of the team to get a mg form but more importantly i hope they make a reborns gundam just so u can have the to clashing
I definitely think the movie gundams should get MGs. It makes sense that Setsuna gets mgs and the other pilots don't because they're not the main leads. Of course that's not definitive seeing how other supporting suits also get mgs, like the infinite justice for example. In the case of the 00 movie however, I think that the other three gundams should get mgs Because they're from a movie which makes it a special occasion and in addition it rounds out the 1/100 releases for all the main gundams.
The weight issue for long/heavy one handed weapons is still a concern. This has been a pain for great kits like this one, Sinanju OVA Ver., Wing Zero Custom. I am considering getting the RG instead since the frame is much more sturdy.
i think the other 3 lead gundams may get a mg version in later years just like the wing series but the reborns could get one soon i mean i've seen a scratch build of a 1/100 mg of it in hobby magazine but they probably release one maybe after they finish the master grades for wing series
speaking of more models getting their master grades, bandai would very well profit from making AT LEAST a master grade dynimes gundam. that's a big one. i would not be opposed to purchasing the other main character suits from the first season, second season, or movie either. however, that is alot of gunpla to be made. i myself find i have a special soft spot for the saravee/seriphm, and would not mind a master grade in that.
+Steven Tarsitano as for seed kits, they deffinately should make a master grade legend or providence gundam (or both) and possibly even a blast impulse (why stop at force and sword impulse?). and while we are on the subject, i find that we fans are also deprived of having MG forms of the bad guys from Destiny, and even the later from Seed, such as the forbidden calamity, and raider. how would a destroy model fare?
I would kill to have a MG Gundam Dynames. It is my favorite gundam from 00, mainly because I'm partial to sniper mobile suits and because it was piloted by my favorite pilot from 00, the original Lockon Stratos. The 1/100 NG isn't bad but I think it well deverses a MG treatment. Bandia could release and re-release as many seed and RX-78-2 kits they wanted as long as they gave some more love to the other Celestial Beings Gundams.

I realized I like this design but I have one dislike/question: How much does it effect the kit not to have the Raiser attached to the back? I think it would make it much more pose-able and have less weight issues without it. Sorry Saji. LOL!

i saw the bandai did the pre-order for MG 00 raiser trans-am, and they are not going to sell as you get the MG 00 raiser. well, I will like to get MG Dynames. i had been waiting for a long time.
I love the brand new 00 and i would like to get this one and put my HG 00 and 0 Raiser away and pose this Gundam instead. I would also like them to upgrade the other HG Gundams from 00 because their are fan base for the other three Gundams and Bandai can make a lot of upgrades to them. If they do the upgrades I hope they could add the special equipments to the Gundams from the end of season two like Arios back pack and maybe a MG GN Archer so we can make Archer Arios.
Yeah, now after I building the left leg I see why you lost the condenser part. I think it took me almost 10 minutes of trial and error to fit it. Its such a difficult fit to get, but now I managed it :)
I wish there was more of a Gundam video game market in North America. The only Gundam games that are ever released over here are the horrible Dynasty Warriors cross overs.

I notice that u lost the clear green part for 00's left leg, but seeing that black sticker with the words etched... SOO DARN SEXY!!!

hey Rrobbert, do you still play extreme vs? if so, who do you Main, and who is your Bane (IE: That one enemy that just seems to kick your ass so hard...maybe not kill you, but cut HUGE chunks of health off)...also, out of the Boss MS/MA, which would you consider the biggest threat to fight?

Should I buy gundam Destiny (Sp.ver, MG) or this gundam Double 00 Raiser (also MG)? I'm so worried if I make the wrong decision and regret.
@SilentSwordsmanLV5 But... you can just make the Quantum Burst Mode w/ the Original Quanta. And a Trams-AM of the 00Q would be a kind of a waste, but a Trans-AM 00Raiser would be Amazing

Hi Rob, Can you please highlight the difference between the PG and MG and which you prefer. I have the PG which to me is a disaster! I also have the Metal Build seven swords witch is a Gift from God. So which do you prefer because I remember you were disappointed in the PG

@rrobbert184 I was lookin on ebay and i saw a trans am 00 Raiser but its 146 bucks and it is in japan. Do u have any idea if it will be released so the usa can get it or is it a japan exclusive?

These models are from Japan, so your best bet would be buying them online if you aren't in Japan.
