my favorite line in terms of Epicness: "The gods do not fear me because I am a god...they fear me because I am a MAN!" my favorite hits the hardest line though has to be "You will not fail, if it is worth it."
I was a Pantheon enthusiast before his rework and for years I refused to play the “new” one Recently I did started to give him a try tho and boy do I regret missing him out for all these years
As a dedicated ARAM player, Pantheon is the bane of my existence. The Howling Abyss is such a tight space that a single, well placed Pantheon ult can hit the entire team in a team fight. Cool champ, though, love the lore.
if you go triforce, sundered, bork, bloodmail, and either maw or steraks. and whatever boots you want either before or after first item. this build is stronger than "what people have been building"
As a Panth otp, yes. But also, remember that his ult has passive armor pen. While it's not as strong 1v1 as many other top laner ultimates, it still helps to continue pushing his damage output. People forget it has that passive component all the time but for a chill guy who already has a semi-global ult, its a really nice bonus.
Olaf would be perfect for this series. He has a pretty low skill floor, granted, but any Olaf that wants to scale into lategame has to learn his limits, reset his Q proficiently and be able to weave in autos between his low CD abilities smoothly. Also that feeling of adrenaline coursing through your veins when you're against multiple people while you're on low health but refuse to die is so damn addicting.
I honestly think Olaf is harder to kill than Tryndamere, sure Tryn literally cannot die but only for 5 seconds meanwhile Olaf is unstoppable as long as he keeps fighting, which is horryifying!
@@ColetheFlame01 ehh depends, in a sidelane tryndamere with ulti and some items is one of the strongest duelists/splitters in the game, he's only really consistently countered by armor stacking targets because unless you CC him for the full 5 seconds of his ulti, he can still potentially three or four tap you in the final 1 second of his ulti. also he can just dive turrets for free with ulti so when you're tryind to sidelane against him, he's a kill threat for just getting the wave under tower. also if for some reason he can't win the duel, he can always R to prevent dying and E away to safety, rinse and repeat. olaf's ulti is just a CC immunity/AD steroid. Really good against immobile champs who rely on their CC but at its base Olaf ulti still has a max active effect time of 3 seconds, so you're forced to commit to all in, unlike Trynda who can use it as a survival tool for an escape. Olaf's mobility is really shit too, his only consistent mobility comes from movespeed increases from Stridebreaker + Approach Velocity, otherwise he's reliant on Ghost being off CD or getting Cloud soul. He really struggles against dashes/high MS, reliable executes/burst, revives, Zhonya's active effect, (2.5s active effect vs 3s max olaf ulti, seriously so many mages/AD champs with AP ratios lose to shopkeep and refuse to build this simple anti-Olaf item when he's picked in their games, inflating his winrate), PHASE RUSH is a ridiculous counter rune to Olaf that allows pretty much any champion to capitalize on his weakness vs short trades and burn his ulti if properly procced. Olaf with no ulti is a superminion, and an easy gank/all in target. Also, Olaf isn't able to right click people under tower in the same way Tryndamere can with the safety of Undying Rage, so holding waves under tower vs. Olaf usually isn't a lethal threat, unless he's significantly strong with three items vs a squishy. Anyways all this to say, I think you're wrong for the most part but I understand what you're implying. Olaf into the comps he's strong against feels unkillable, because he's always able to capitalize on his strengths and never face his weaknesses since he's consistently allowed to get in melee range. However against certain abilities, mechanics and items he can do very little to answer them, his only choice especially during Ragnarok active is to keep fighting at all costs and hope your Passive is strong enough to carry you through it/enemies make a mistake and let you get on top of them to keep ult going. Meanwhile Tryndamere, while very vulnerable to CC and high armor, he just doesn't care. Tryndameres want to be alone on side anyway, if you send one or two he'll just kill you with very little room for error on your part (since he can freely dive turrets), if you send three he can just E away, wait for you to leave and then he's back to hitting turrets. Also, in teamfights, Tryndameres will either usually try to come from an off angle to assassinate the squishies, or he'll wait until the enemy team wastes certain key spells before going in. One last thing I'd like to add, and it's kinda funny, but the champs that beat Tryndamere, being high armor + CC champs, are the champs that Olaf absolutely decimates with his CC immunity, armor shred and spammable true damage. The champs that beat Olaf are the ones that Tryndamere can beat by going full damage + having free critical strike chance + having AD steroid scaling with missing HP + having the best tank ability in the game, being literally unable to die + the insane sticking power of W slow and E dash. Anyway this turned into a massive essay but I guess I had much to say about this. Unless you're playing a tank or jax/teemo Tryndamere will usually always win the 1v1 post 6 against pretty much everyone in the roster. However you can bait Olaf ulti with Phase Rush and then call your jungler for free kill.
@@roblxreviews2324 ok one issue, almost no one takes phase rush outside of very specific builds, favoring electrocute, conq, tempo, hell even harvest at times. also almost everyone has some form of annoying cc so its very easy to lock down Tryndamere honestly unlike Olaf and don't tell me Olaf doesn't run Ultimate Hunter to get an absurdly short cooldown on his ult making it almost always up and even without his ult Olaf heals arguably better than Aatrox on low hp. sure you can burst olaf but you can do that to Tryn too unless he predicts the burst one shot. I'm not arguing with you but I think you forget just how easy it is to actually screw over Tryndamere and sure Olsf Ult is easy to bait but you still need to bait it and its not as easy as it sounds.
@@ColetheFlame01 If you're against Olaf and it's a matchup that's in his favor the consensus is to run Phase Rush and deny his early game strength of running you down the lane for catching one axe. If Olaf can't snowball a lead early his chances of winning the game diminish significantly, the champion doesn't scale, he only abuses his early to mid game statstick to get ahead in XP and Gold over everyone else. If Olaf is not allowed to abuse his ultimate reset gimmick he is an easy kill with no pressure, and Phase Rush is what allows it with the free ms increase + slow resistance removing the penalty of his axe slow. A lot of champions can and do flex Phase Rush into Olaf, and it can turn the matchup around. Aatrox, Jax, Malphite, Teemo, etc. are some examples. Teemo vs. Olaf is heavily Olaf favored unless the Teemo takes PR. Ordinarily Olaf at level 6 runs the Teemo down on repeat, ignoring blind and mushroom slow. Even before that Q and E are low CD spells so blind isn't as effective on Olaf compared to most champs, but with Phase Rush, Teemo can harass Olaf from range, force him to either retreat or attack, and if he goes for the all-in Teemo can now actually escape with W movespeed, PR movespeed and slow resistance. When Olaf ult drops he's vulnerable to Teemo once more. Also, Olaf does not run red tree ever. I made a typo in my previous comment, Olaf runs Approach Velocity and not Cosmic Insight. Sometimes Olaf can take green tree secondaries if it's a melee matchup that also wants to throw hands like Sett. Olaf's ulti has 100s base CD which is very low compared to other toplaners who have 120s or more, meaning he will usually have his ult up on every reset and for every fight he has a short window of ult prio. His ultimate is always on a low cooldown throughout the game, ultimate hunter provides barely any value because of it. Olaf however really needs Approach Velocity, because the MS steroid it gives + the slow on the enemy laner from axe chaining is what allows him to run people down. Olaf without Approach Velocity is night and day. Also, Aatrox healing, especially in his Ult, is vastly superior to Olaf's healing, it frankly eclipses Olaf healing. Also, it's AoE so in a teamfight he can heal for more than Olaf, who only gets AoE healing if he wastes 3300 on Ravenous Hydra. However Olaf doesn't go Ravenous anymore, Stride is a heavily core item on him because of the synergy with Approach Velocity and for the fact that it allows you to substitute Ghost, which is in a pretty shit state, for flash/tp. The thing with Tryndamere is that yes, you can lock him down with CC, but I think you're severely underestimating his threat potential. Barring the fact that he can buffer E through most CC effects, he can and does tank CC in ult, but can still find the time with the remaining one or two seconds to flash + E onto the carry and oneshot. Also, baiting Olaf ult is really as easy as it sounds. Olaf is unstoppable for only as long as you let him hit you. Take Phase Rush.
heya, I gotta recommend that you should play pantheon jungle, the ganks on that thing are INSANE, most of my times having fun in rankeds was playing pantheon jungle!
most people think that panth falls off in the late game. with his items and just how much he benefits from ability haste, he actually pops off in the late game. most of the time pantheon will fall off in the mid game which is kinda funny
if you like the aggression on pantheon, you should give briar a try. Her ult allows her similar mobility around the map (especially as a jungler) and she can burst down basically anyone. great vid
Do you have a build you would recommend for Pantheon mid? Im still really new to the game and trying out new lanes, but I really liked playing Pantheon top and would like to try him out in mid. Unfortunately there aren't many guide out there or they're super out of date.
Pantheon counters are tanky champions, as such Pantheon isn't made for top lane. The middle lane is the best lane to play, as you're almost always guaranteed to face non-tanky champions. Jungle is also great due to his stun and finisher Q, as well as his ultimate that allows him to teleport almost anywhere.
You bring him top to smash the opposing teams top laner for as long as you can so they're behind which makes them easier to deal with. So yes, for you personally it might be better to go mid, but your potential to destroy an annoying split pusher that can single handedly win the game is amazing.
i think pant WAS better on mid that top , but after the rework of the last patch, and adding a bunch of damage based on health porcentage , now its a little better top in my opinion(and with his new passive on the e who boost this armor and magic armor he is mora like a browser, not like some patch before who e could be like an assasin)
specifically in the pantheon vs ksante match up, even if you are 10-0 and 3 items while he has 1 item, if you misplay once while he has R you lose the 1v1 and it is disgusting
Would highly recommend building BORK on panth into tanks or beefy bruisers. The empowered W gives you 3 free procs of BORK, and it absolutely CHUNKS tanks and folks with a lot of HP. Almost no one expects that amount of damage, especially if you pair it with Eclipse and use a Q after the empowered W.
4:30 wdym she went in too hard? Look at their hp after she went in, you're a pantheon they were both dead before malphite could do anything, you saw the tp got scared and trolled

It does max HP damage though its definitely not bad and its a good powerspike early. It falls off a bit but I literally built the 2 items you told me to right after
