Kelly I learn more from ONE of your videos than 10 from anyone else. Seriously. You have made me a better fly fisherman Thank you ! You have made me a better tier from watching you tying video’s. Again thank you. Please keep sharing. Todd
Kelly, I’ve read your book several times and have had great success using you patterns and methods. The only issue I continue to have is my elbow! You briefly mentioned that you were struggling with your elbow as well. I had to take a break this fall because the pain got unbearable, how do you guys avoid tendinitis? Thanks in advance, I really enjoy your content. Ben
I know I can buy a Sheep Hearder streamer but I can't find any tying tutorials. Will there be one in the future? Looks like your kits were out of stock on your website or I'd buy one.
mono in the eye is one of the reasons i stopped tying streamers with anything but a loop knot. i cut the loop, the fly falls out in to my hand, i can bite the knot to hold on to my leader while i dig out a fly, the fly has a clear eye cause i tied it on with a loop knot, and then i can tie the loop knot rather quickly because i've tied it so many times.
I'm wanting to up my streamer game, so I bought your book and I'm watching these videos. Before, when I was just stripping streamers, I was taught to strip-set to hook the fish. I've noticed in these videos that your don't strip set. Is there a reason why?
Keep these coming boys! If I can just say one extremely jealous statement. I try to work this short cavalier style attack cast like Kelly teaches. But holy hell does it look like a different ball game from a drifter. I'm wading, limited on water to fish safely, and I'm trying to suck up my streamer max long out of the water constantly. It just seems to stop my casts like crazy. Unless I false cast at least twice to set up my chuck. Then I'm fishing an exaggerated arch in order to not swing my fly. The moral of the story is, I need a friggin drift boat and a fishing partner. I do have a 14 ft flat bottom jon. Maybe I'll try getting a drift sock and an Uber ride.
Question - do you try to carry multiple rods with different patterns/colors and just change that way so you dont have to stop? Or is it always anchor up and retie?

You ever have one of those days where you couldn't even get your line in the water without snagging a rock or tree or birdsnest. Two days steelhead fishing on the Kalama with my wife. She slayed em.
Johnny explained rod placement and fighting fish brilliantly. Best examples I’ve ever heard, Orvis should put that in their how to books.
Do u see this rock…. lol. I want to see Kelly row and Jonny chuck and duck. Excellent video team slide.
Thanks for bringing us along with you, had some great tips on changing flies and fighting fish.

This is my new favorite thing. Please keep em coming
This was great! Let's see more; maybe one with some wade fishing! Great work!
Thanks for sharing these videos. Really takes me back to living in Jackson and Bozeman. I very much miss living there.
Nice stretch you fished there, I like it when the waters up like it is here . Perfect streamer water . Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like a blast... Awesome scenery
Awesome can’t wait for more! Love the tips!
Thanks great video, great tips
looks so fun, way diff than how we fish in the east
something about those mallard feathers works great.. boogieman is a great fly
I have had the pleasure of being in a boat with Johnny. So my question is do you pay him. He is a great guy.

It’s part of the game. I fish with an elbow tendinitis brace.
Check out the Theraband Flexbar. I used to get bad tendonitis in my left elbow, but keeping on top of it has all but eliminated the pain.
@@ChrisLivingstoninUtah yeah I have one as well, good stuff!
I dont really have any interest in fishing rivers like this for trout but I love watching
The subtle Fletch reference and the line about the chimichanga were amazing. That guy must be a legend!
Why does Johnny get the bow within centimeters of every rock

Get jeremy in an episode I wana see Kelly heckle him on the water

We only use loop knots, and still have mono in the hook eye 92.496% of the time 😬
@@TheSlideinn just gotta cut the loop not the knot, and drop the davey, innit?
Great video you guy's should've broke out The Swimming Jimmy.
Would olive boogeyman work in Michigan
Yep
Let me know if you see a tree or anything 😅
Kelly just record yourself on the river and make it a podcast already
RE: 6:32 Johnnie’s old enough to know Fletch‽
@plgard Good Catch
@@TheSlideinn Moooon River!

Better yet, a jet drive x-mas present to myself. Just a little guy.

Nice videos. I am curious of the flies in your cycle that you went through. Can you name the ones that were on the box at the end please.
Hey I remember this guy.. he’s the one who misses all the bites with the streamers! 🤣😅😂
Time for a Sheep Herder tying video. Looks simple.
So Kelly when you're fishing with the Irish guy haha what weight rod do you prefer 7 ?
I notice u rod set a lot. Will u talk about pros and cons in rod vs strip set.
Jerkin or strippin, just get a piece.
Really appreciate the video guys. These two episodes taught me alot. I will certainly be buying some flies as a thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!

More of these vids and always the tying vids plz.
Ill take that chimi for brunch and the steak for dinner if I'm fishing all day...
expert angler, expert guide.First time i ever seen a floating video of the madison looks like a tough river for a bank tangler.
Great explanation of fighting fish I’ve always kept the rod high when fly fishing.
Like back in the day, when you where doing the...Bank Robber fly rod on TV.
Thanks for the virtual fishing trip Kelly. I see that is not a river you should try and fish by yourself. Keep the good stuff coming.
Another great informative video! Thank you Kelly.
Awesome stuff! Keep 'em coming! They could be an hour long and still fly by.
My best streamer this last fall. Great design.
Great video and looking forward to more.
Really enjoyed the video cheers
Great inspiration movie 😄
