Surely it's must be hard to always look happy all the time since it's what most of celebrity's life looks like. But in this song, Jooheon wanted to tell some comforting messages. Like everything's gonna be okay, stop struggling and just go with the FLOW. I really appreciated Jooheon for coming back stronger after some time for resting. i can't stress this enough, jooheon really showed his artistry and talent as a producer and lyricist with flow. this song compares the idol life with the one of a swan swimming in a pond. although it looks beautiful and majestic on the surface, the swan struggles to move its legs to keep floating. he's telling us that his life can seem fun from an outsider's perspective but it can also take away a lot and they have to be ready to make sacrifices in their lives to remain in the surface. this hits very hard knowing he wrote and produced this song after his hiatus for anxiety. but it's also a song that gives me comfort, that tells me that no matter how hard a certain path can be you have to try and, just like a swan in the water, go with the flow to survive. keep striving even if it's hard.
This song made me think what Monsta X mean to me and how much they mean. I discovered them in one of my lowest times in life dealing with depression and anxiety, and just singing along with I.M when he's saying "I am what I am" in Shoot out, repeating that out loud - saved me. They gave me strength when I needed it the most and for that I will always support them.
The first listen, this song didn't really catch my eye, but when I looked up the lyrics and saw their comeback showcase performance damn I got CHILLS. I now appreciate how beautiful this song is and it's become one of my favourites from the album. The performance is also incredible and really shows a vulnerable and emotional side of MX we don't always see. I hope performing this song is as healing to Monsta X as it is for monbebe. I sincerely wish all the best for this group of amazing people. Fighting!
