IIRC, an H1 Dash-9 led an intermodal north on the Birmingham Sub a few days later. Sadly didn't get that one though, as I wasn't along the Birmingham Sub at the time.
Don't think it's gravel (at least around the crossing, believe it becomes a dirt road to the west of here), but I believe the cantilevers are for visibility purposes, as there's a fair number of trees and hills around this crossing.

Amazing a little almost-gravel road needs two big cantilever signals. Safety liability is a crazy thing.
