We played an ugly game and it was still OU 42 - KU 7 going into garbage time....
Don't get it twisted: this game was never in doubt, nor was it as close as the score reflects.

@John Something I get what you're saying. KU had chances to get a few scores -- however, so did OU. The OU defense left a couple of more possessions on the field by just missing ints. This offense with MORE possessions? The score could have been even uglier for Kansas (even as they did good things, they still couldn't stop this offense).
That's why it's never a good idea to factor in plays that weren't made. You can do it for both teams. Better to stick with the plays that WERE made. That's why I made a point to say OU played ugly, yet was never fully challenged.
Now imagine if this team plays well...

Everyone is forgetting that Texas didn't look like world beaters against a lowly WV team, I for one think it a positive that we can play like garbage and still handle an improving Kansas team. A few tweaks on d and get the offensive line in order we'll be in good shape.

I thought our defense played 10 times better as opposed to last year against Kansas....
People also forget that we had two offensive lineman out due to injury, but I think they’ll be back for Texas. We just gotta be more crisp, eliminate the mental errors and execute better. And of course, not paying attention to any rat poison

Polyphony yes it took them a little time to get in sync ! Both starting tackles were in Norman, then 4 of 5 Linemen were shifted from their normal spots, still they did get there, just took awhile and it showed ! We had trouble running on first down and pass protection was very uneven, particularly on the right ! Which had Hurts moving or taking off running, which he did a good job of ! All things being equal, itwas an OK game ! DidJalen Redmond play ??

the top 4 should be the BEST IN THEIR CONFERENCE 1) LSU ( by far the biggest win in the SEC) 2) Wisconsin 3) Clemson 4) Oklahoma 5) Alabama (has not beat a top 10 team all season) 6) Ohio St 7) Penn St 8) Boise St ( but all top 10 teams should be undefeated) 9)Baylor 10)SMU .. COMMON Kansas played a good game Les & his boys were pumped for this, before this game, Led was 2-2 against Oklahoma, the SOONERS, have trouble with his teams he did exactly what he wanted, slowed the game down!

Dont worry we wont let's just look at what this game is. Playing up against a team that has been bad for a decade that has a great coach now who is known for getting his bad teams fired up against the sooners (2001 okla st 16 ou 13) (2002 okla st 38 ou 28) and it's the game before the biggest game of the year which recently ou has struggled to get hyped about and it cost them (2017 iowa st 38 ou 31).
So with how we came out not hyped still asleep looking ahead while the other team is fired up playing their best game and we still lead 42 to 7 before garbage time. Bring it on Texas!
