Hello from Perth Western Australia. I never thought I would see my home town featured in a GR video, this video brings me one step closer to joining the GR community.
Pia’s work is excellent and very inspiring. Hopefully she translates her books to English soon! I get the impression she gets everything she wants in life, including the shots, by being a hard nosed badass, but in the sweetest way possible. She gives me those strong but soft and tactful vibes that she describes as “soft skills.”
I couldn't afford a GR but have nonetheless purchased a small used camera and have been using all the wonderful UA-cam videos to learn about street photography and have just a few weeks back been on my first 'walk'.
While I own an X-Pro2 I always take my GRIII and have a love affair with this little gem! I also owned its predecessor, a GR Digital I (?), purchased over a decade ago. Just returned from Australia and while I love WA this trip focused on outback NSW (Darling River) and South Australia down to the remarkable Kangaroo Island. I like that Pia's composition details are on the shots and I like that she underexposed most shots - a good move guarding against blowing highlights in that intense Aussie light. BTW I am not a street photographer! Danke.
Dear Samuel, I need some references about pocket camera. I really like photography especially when I'm on traveling. Usually I brought my mirrorless/DSLR with few lenses with me and few filters, yes I really adore with landscape photography especially for long exposure landscape photos. Now I want to change with the small one, and Ricoh GR III Diary really captivating me, but still curious does this camera can snap for long exposure? I still consider to buy Ricoh GR III Diary about that function. Thank you for your kind reply. cheers
Hey Ricoh, tools are tools but beautiful tools make using it much more fun. Photographers are visual beings. Make more colours standard and you’ll sell more.
Thanks for this video, Pia and Samuel are very good photographers, I can fell that they love photograph and it´s amazing.
That was wonderful, thank you Ricoh, Samuel Lintaro Hopf & of course, Pia Parolin.

Love Love Love this! Going to get this camera...a couple people have mentioned problems with dust on the sensor, any thoughts on that?

love to have a GR III(X) of any color but not available anywhere in the States, guess I missed the boat.
Probably a new version coming out within the next year or so is my guess
Pia is one the best out there!🎉

Hi Ambar! Yes you can take long exposures on the GR. It can expose for as long as 30 seconds. Hope that helps! :)
Ricoh, we are waiting some discount, I hope you can 😀
I really wish they would make a trio of cameras 28, 50 ,90 lenses.that would be fantastic
The colours look exactly the same as my Yashica microtec zoom 120

Ricoh GR IV when?
When is the new GR 4 coming out?
This Year
Muy interesante la entrevista, lastima que no ponen subtítulos en español. Se menosprecian el mundo hispano.
I have the dust sucker issue which makes me dislike the GR. Good concept but I wish some genious engineer could solve this provlem.
Which is the dust sucker edition?
It would be wonderful to initiate the “Men in Street” Collective for balance, fairness & equanimity 😏😊
No shortage of opportunities for men. And their collective isn’t limiting anyone else’s options, right?
Why not the US.
Ahhhhhh
Ricoh is sly.
