Hi Emma, I did create a video on what kind of equipment you might need for a food market stall. ua-cam.com/video/OtaRtlHsDiM/v-deo.html In terms of pots and pans, I suggest you use the pots you have at home first (its free) and test out your market stall concept first before investing in new equipment. But alternative you can go for pots and pans you think will be suit/fit the look of your stall... drawing up a design of your stall will help you in deciding. All the best

I suggest you try food ideas that you or your family grew up eating because never beats home cooking. Pick 1-3 dishes you think people may like and test it out, thats my advice. :)
In the UK, a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering certificate is a must have, you can complete this via online classes. Its cheaper to do the online course then to go into an actual classroom. If you were to do streetfood then a permit to sell hot food is a must from the council you hope to operate in. If you wanted to sell products or non hot food then I'm pretty sure you dont need this permit. I suggest you apply to the market operators themselves and do your own research into your local council, ask what they need from you and they should provide you with all the necessary information. Hope this helps.
There are some nice etsy hanging light bulbs you can buy or similar ones on ebay. If anything you can be creative and try make them yourself, you might need to invest abit of time and effort into it but it could look pretty cool if you use different colour lights or different shape bulbs. Hopefully this helps :)
Hello Dave your videos are really helpful. Can I ask your advice on what equipment would be best to keep food hot while on the market. I have looked at banmaries but I think some cant be used outside and there are ones with fire underneath it but that scares me, woukd that be a fire hazard?
Hi hi, so yes the bain marie would be the most effective and efficient. This can be electric or gas, if this is possible for your situation. There are some with the little candle underneath but I'll be honest I've never used that before but i can only assume it wont keep your food warm for long. My friend who is a fashion designer drew up the boards behind me, he helped me do the majority of the design work for my food business whilst I did the business side of things. Definitely helps to find someone who can draw/write well :)
