You have to pay attention to the YOUTH, ,& current generation, study them & they will show you how to keep up bkz It's fairly much easier of a sound to create than our generation which was more complex & layered instrumentally But he kept diggin until he found that right formula & balance between tru skool & new skool.. You will never survive as a 40+ artist in modern times If you can't learn the language the youth speaks & the sound they want to hear & nod to. You can't force them to like something old, dated etc that they can't appreciate or vibe out to lol. You have to come A NEW with a different approach & SOUND which Is a good thing ultimately artistically for you as an older artist In the long run. But you can't be afraid to fail either & try new things that make sense to your age, stage in life etc. They key is to remain TRUE 2SELF!! & Marques did that flawlessly which Is why he Is now starting to win naysayers, doubters over The work speaks for itself. & when It's undeniable It's exactly that, undeniably a hit song!! #HateItOrLove
