The river line is intriguing to me, as when I take the metro North Commuter train to Poughkeepsie, a pal of mine and I always see if we could beat the freight trains to the Poughkeepsie bridge.
DPU is rebuilt. SD70ACE-t4 is built following the SD70ACE with some modifications. Biggest noticeable modification is the T4’s having the 4-stroke 12-1010 prime mover. Rather than having the 2 stroke 16-710 prime mover which was not Tier 4 compatible
They used to years ago. I haven't been to Selkirk in years. I am hoping to go back to Connecticut to visit my family next year if this covid stuff chills out and I will be able to take a Selkirk trip
@@mec2512 I’m pretty sure that CP traffic was replaced by the CSX B7## jobs. That handles the Manifest Traffic. I’m not completely sure of this but all signs point to this being true. I’ll go up again sometime soon and try to confirm this observation.
Another great production full of interesting facts. 👍 and of course, awesome trains
thank you!!!

Nice catch on that double-header Amtrak Lake Shore Limited! Plus pretty cool to see Selkirk yard. Great video!
Thank you!

Is CP rail still running trains into Selkirk from the Albany secondary?
CP doesn’t run on the Secondary But CSX does run one road switcher in both directions and the Ethanol trains that are handed to CP

They used to interchange traffic to and from Montreal bound for New Jersey. If I remember correctly it was trains 263/264

Some of it might have been lost to NS too
