This would be competitive if it were priced under $300 dollars.. IMO LPVO is probably the most competitive market in scopes right now and you better have something that blows the other Chinese produced optics out of the water if your going to ask more than twice the price of a PA ACSS and it's competitor, the Vortex Strike Eagle.. The reticle in the Hawk doesn't have any ranging features.. What good is a 400 yard BDC hold if you have nothing in the reticle that gives you any idea how far away your target is?... I mean unless those Hawk lenses are competing with 1000 dollar Japanese Optics I don't see why anyone would pay 600 dollars for a Chinese scope when companies like SWFA are selling HD lens Japanese produced scopes for the same price..

I completely agree. This is a nice scope, but it is in a extremely competitive field. One where the median price for good stuff is only ever going down. This isnt a great deal new. But used it becomes a much nicer option.

I have been looking forward to this one! Hawke are very popular in the UK, especially for use on air rifles. I have one of their micro red dots on a .22LR and it's been reliable for me. I also bought a Ruger 77/44 which had a monstrously heavy Hawke 6-24x50 IR on it - considering it retails for like £100, I thought the glass was really good, but it was way too big for the gun so it's got a little Leupold 1.5-4x20 on it now. I doubt many people would chose this over the Vortex (coming in about £200 more) but I really like the reticle!

I really like the reticle as well. It's a hot good parts that work for me. As much as I'm looking this scope. I don't think it's worth the $700ish price tag.

Looks like the reticle and turrets from a shepherd rugged series R-mil .... exactly

@C_Does better than the PST 1-6?

This is good. Don't get me wrong. But if faced with that decision. I'd go Vortex.

i can get a new hawke frontier 30 1-6-24 for 450 instead of 800 or a vantage 1-8x24 for about 280 instead of 500, would you prefere it over the viper ps2 (would cost me 800) when the price is so much diffrent? Regards

That’s almost the exact reticle in the Truglo Omnia series of scopes. Which are a fantastic bargain at their price point.

I would love to get my hands on the newer Truglo stuff. Total bargain powerhouses.

You lost me at slop in the eyepiece and no throw lever included. Thanks.
