With the release of peacemaker and season 4, i though It would be a great opportunity to come back, sit down and really talk about the status of the game right now, and has Peacemaker really been the thing to save It 5 months In?
As a lot has really hinged on the release of Peacemaker as well as Janet cage, (who is yet to come out as of making this video), so with that In mind, the recent patch, season 4 and the release of peacemaker, has the peacemaker patch really allowed MK1 to have the bounce back we had all hoped for?
Now what are your thoughts on Peacemaker?

This seasons ugly recolors of skins we're supposed to get in the future is a real letdown. Like, they seriously couldn't give us pink outfits for characters? Peacemaker doesn't seem anywhere near enough to give this game life. Hell, not even the upcoming ones. MK1 can't hold down an audience
They really looked like rushed Color palettes
One of the ugliest color combos I've ever seen honestly. I have a feeling that Havik's season was going to be in December and this was supposed to be skins for his season hence the red and green. They made it early and was too lazy to just make pink and purple skins or they ran out of time fore whatever reason so they gave us the already done Havik skins. Don't be surprised if we get pink/purple skins in December and let's see them spin how it totally fits Havik's theme because purple is chaotic

MK1’s Invasions mode may not be for everyone, but I had fun playing it. Also, I’d like to see MK Deception Mileena in this game than...whatever this is.
it was fun the first time around but since you have to go through it all again... and again and again etc
it really overstays it's welcome. it just feels like a chore to go through it over and over, especially this season with all the rewards being god ugly recolors.
I miss MK11's towers of time, at least they got to the point and weren't a pain in the ass to navigate

I swear i cant tell this game apart from MK11. We need to move on from MK1. The game is hella dead. We need injustice 3 or an actually good mortal Kombat game with a good story.
Gonna be real, I never felt the game needed “saving” and this season has been really fun so far! It feels like NRS is being forced to do certain things by WB and they’re trying their best. Idk, I’ve been really enjoying MK1 and I don’t really have any major issues.

I will admit that Season 4 is the Weakest of the Bunch but it’s Fine although that doesn’t change anything about the Ugly Skins, the UMK3 Skins look Great to me as I have been waiting for them in Years that I’m hoping Ermac, Rain, and Trilogy Sub-Zero makes it in the Future, as for Peacemaker John Cena nails this Role, his Gameplay looks Fun, and it’s perhaps the Closest we’ll get to seeing Stryker, Nightwolf, Hsu Hao, Robocop, and Dreed in MK1.
Honestly the ending of this season teased a lot of Sonya and Jax, but not as Kameos, but as real fighters.
Peacemaker? What a joke. Lol for real though, I feel like the developers really screwed up with the season 4 skins but other than that, not too bad.

I'm really worried about 5th season of invasions, bc Raiden has been... mishandled (story-wise) during the game. What I mean is that, since mk11, we had the merge from god Raiden and Liu kang, in order to have fire god Liu kang, but somehow, if we choose Shang tsung for the final battle, Raiden is seen as one of his minions during his ending scene. So it's safe to assume that Raiden should be the same thunder god we all know and love, except for the Liu kang timeline (or all Liu kang timelines?), as they merged and he lost his godhood. Now, for M1K story, we do see the god raiden, with the mature voice and everything, coming from shang tsung timeline (and also the Raiden keeper of time helping Liu kang during story mode), but as we can choose a titan kharacter for the final battles, we have a human Raiden, which is also a titan somehow? So, which dark raiden we'll be handling? The klassic one? Or the human one? Now, both of them have some issues. If the mature raiden is coming, he will inherit the human raiden dialogs for regular battles? Or he will have his own dialogs? And if it's a human dark raiden (which can be fought against during the final battles from story mode), how is he even possible?
So, I think this is a strange place. I hope they handle this in a good way, but I don't see that coming.
On the other side, there was a tarkatan Kitana during story mode (when they attack the current timeline hourglass), so it was a missed opportunity for the 4th season to use that skin (as well as another tarkatan kharacters). Also, I don't know where we can see some of other models, as the female reptile or sub-zero, or the ninja mime, or the eye laser sonya, etc.
You know, I wonder if at this point in time, this was when we should have gotten the M1K story mode expansion but due to the connectivity crash during Quan Chi's release, everything got pushed back.
This is awesome season and like how peace Maker have a shield
I haven't played any previous MK games but I bought MK1 specifically to get my fix of John Cena as Peacemaker before the second season of his show comes out and I managed to nab the premium edition for a significant discount on Steam. Gotta say, it's been more than worth the purchase. As someone who didn't like the Injustice games, I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy this game, but I've been having a really good time playing through the story mode and I'm now getting into the lore of the franchise.
If this game is something that MK fans are disappointed with, the previous entries must be incredible.

Awesome video by the way and I agreed you about the Sub-Zero how he looks technically they should give it to scorpion since he was supposed to be Sub-Zero that's why it looks weird on this Sub-Zero because his brother had it best suit on mortal Kombat 3 remember and plus his brother's more buffer than he is so I think that she gave it to scorpion
No he did not. He has a unblockable attack that leaves decent players on edge when playing against him (as if the fighting in this game isnt bad as it already is) Peace is just another character added to the rosater so players can keep that "keep away" fighting style while adding their kameos to the mix. And yeah I'm really pissed 🤣
The Chaos season could have originally been planned for the story dlc. But because fans don’t engage with Invasions and numbers are dropping WBG might no longer see themselves supporting MK1 as long as what was originally anticipated.
I am enjoying playing Peacemaker Last Guest Character but not least is Homelander I sincerely hope in Spring or at the end of Ermac's Gameplay Trailer to see if Antony Starr is probably trolling us or probably doing a Andrew Garfield Situation and is actually voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1

Naw the issues are still there. Peacemaker is fun done get me wrong but a fun character can't save a game when the issues surrounding it are still there and being doubled down on.
This game needs to be balanced before getting dlcs

MK1 has the bones of a fighting game but it doesn't have the "MEAT". Given the history of how much content NRS has given us in their past games dating all the way back to MK9, hell even back to the 3D era, I'm very disappointed that this game is seriously lacking a lot when it comes to content. We can barely even customize are characters and a lot of the cosmetics are behind a paywall. NRS seriously needs to up there game and do better if they want to gain their audience back.

Story was already fucked in mk11 and they could’ve ended it there or start afresh with mk1. Now it’s even more fucked since we are getting into more multiverse bs despite us not even having the third timeline we are in now not fully be fleshed out
@@nabilahmed579the fact that they had a crappy idea to do a timeline reset like that was dumb enough. Though mk9 wasn’t any better. I feel like they missed opportunities between m9 to mkx with the 25 year gap.
Now we get fan favorite characters with lame backstories and missed opportunities for redemption like a Scorpion who should have been Sub-zero, baraka being discriminated against, and Shao being seen as a punching bag, especially when he loses two against one. And some classic characters being kameo
Gameplay could have brought back mkx styles
Making Liu Kang the focal point was a bad idea if they wanted a story because it revolves around him as the fire god. I would probably have went with a new direction.
I mean make the story centered around Scorpion and Sub-zero, a classic twist and spin a new narrative with the franchise characters. Liu Kang and lost wandering martial artist, and something like Kitana and Millenia fighting against Shao Khan in a Civil War.
Maybe this isn’t perfect but it’s a start

@@Tribrid-zv3nq mk1’s story is only a dumpster fire bcoz the last few chapters alone (whereas all the chapters were acc decent).
Mk11 has it between which is the worst story mode considering how awful the story is inconsistent with its goddamn narrative, gets rid of plots that has been built up to, inconsistent powerscaling, changes the lore for the worse without any adequate information.
As much as I am not a big fan of mk1, you don’t need to be smart to tell mk11’s story (aftermath) is easily more of a fucking trainwreck than mk1

this season made me uninstall the game, the game died for me. idk if they can make it better in 44days until next season to make me reinstall it. i'm so damn sad what this game become i had like 3 days fun with it. and i loved all other NRS games before...

I doubt he saved the game, but he became my new main, so I guess I'll keep playing. Invasions still suck, and the skins aren't that great. Which is fine, I'll just skip invasions this time, just wish peacemaker came with a better season

Not for me. 1 character can’t save this game cause while a lot of characters are still unbalanced and OP that was never my biggest issue. There is still a lack of content, invasions mode is still boring and these skins for the most part have been extremely underwhelming! It’s the game itself not the characters. I’m still hoping for a 1v1 mode no kameos. I think that would make a lot of players happy from what I hear during online matches. Being able to make bad/unsafe combo strings safe with a assist that refills way too fast is an issue in itself for me. I think kameos would have been a cool mode but to force them into the game as hard as they did took away from other things they could have done. Wasting time putting the same characters in the game more than once seems like a waste of their development time. If they took that much time to create complete character models they could have just been given a full move set or be dlc. I don’t think it’s NRS but WB screwing then over. I’m an old school guy who played all the MKs from the first oringinal mk1 and I still have hope but for now I’ll stick with tekken till they make major changes in the mechanics of the game. I’m excited for ermac regardless and still have my fingers crossed for a fully playable cyrax!

He's cool but imo it's going to take a lot more than him to save this game. People are probably going to have fun with him for a few weeks and then it's back to status quo.
