I find it kind of weird that all of the major manufacturers of cymbals have multiple variations of their different lines tuned to different styles of music. Rock, country, gospel, etc. these packs usually consist of a crash, ride, and hihats with either an extra crash and or an added splash. This is a good combo for sure, but why don’t they cater to harder players more often? Why not a metal or hardcore set with a pair of crashes, a ride or crash ride, hihat, and a China? Why not an ultimate metal package with multiple crashes, a couple or more chinas, ride, crash/ride, and a couple splashes?
