Good demo....nice machine......I like the color......Camera man was shakey .....shows the diff.lock working ....... Notice how well the front end stays down on the steep incline.Very impressive! If you install a more agressive tire tread ;like mud lites, or even bear claws ,you will see the difference. I like the automatic tranny...makes it simple to use. How does the engine braking work on this machine? Thanks for posting.
@SaskAngler24 I agree. It also has the same drivetrain as the 700, yet the engine produces a little less torque, which means it's less likely to break something. Not that the 700 has a reputation for breaking things, but the 550 drivetrain should prove to be even more durable. And I hear that the 550, with it's smaller, lighter piston vibrates less than the 700. Except for top speed runs or when you are turning 28+ inch tires, the 550 is fine. Even then, the 550 isn't far behind the 700.
What is this? A rider wearing proper safety equipment like a helmet and gloves?!?!?!?! This is unheard of youtube!!!!!!! lol, I'm buying my dad's 550 this weekend. It's a 2010, he bought it last year and has been talking about wanting to upgrade to the 700, I'm taking over payments on his 550 and he's getting the bigger one. I love the 550, it has all the power you need and will go goddamn anywhere. You need some aftermarket tires though, I like the ITP terracross's, but dif ppl like dif tires
@Roootrocker228 Yeah, then you can burn more gas on the trail! Unless you spend all your time riding flat out on dirt roads, the 550 is just as capable on the trail.

yes, it works for about a quarter turn and then anymore then it gets tight.
