@@ExtremeVocalInstitute it's totally understandable. the lyrics of their songs are extremely graphic but I really like their music. Most people just know them as "the band with very disturbing and gross lyrics" but their music is genuinely awesome.
After Swinaecologist came out, I tried literally every day for months to do dickey's highs. I tried to do it waiting for the school bus every single day. It hurt at first because I had no Idea what I was doing. As my technique got better, my scream sounded better and it no longer hurt. The same thing happened prior when I was learning fry. To anyone learning to scream, don't give up. There is nothing more gratifying than finally being able to do something that seemed so unachievable. If you don't have patience like I didn't, have determination.
i learned faster trying to imitate darek Connolly from nitheful and it sort of transfered over. tip: mix some spit into where the false chord comes out and that will do half the work and keep the area lubricated

I mean, when I try to scream longer using that technique I would accidentally swallow the spit and ended up sounding like I'm dying from TBC. We do! But the purpose of these videos are to show people the raw vocals because once you start adding production people start to get unrealistic expectations about what they should sound like when they’re practicing!

I can do what he calls “grizzly throat”, but i put my tongue to the roof of my mouth with a small pocket between the tongue and roof of the mouth for air. Since air comes up from the body over the tongue, i find it easier to do rather than redirect the air under the tongue.
