    My mom 5"4 lifted our 7ft fridge up the stair to the second floor by herself when our house got flooded by the typhoon ..
    Afterwards she was surprised how did she did it.
    My mom said she just lifted it , never thinking how much does it weight , in her mind she has to lift it away from the flood so our food would be safe and we won't starve.

      hey bro you know you can get the biggest blanket in the house. wrap it over the fridge. try grab all three or four corners and drag it up or down the stairs. if there's two of you pulling its even easier.

    As someone who has actually done this (in a non emergency situation, just for fun lol), I can say a 3,000 lb car- you are not lifting all 3,000 lbs. Lifting the rear corner is only about 700 lbs or so, a front corner is closer to 1,000 lbs. Still, 700-1,000 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. For anyone interested I'm about 5' 10" and 230lbs. But I grew up moving video games, jukeboxes, and pool tables (family business) since I was 13. So I got an early start to developing lifting skills. The last time I did anything that heavy I was 43, so age is not always against you (55 now). We were towing my old Mercedes up our condo ramp and the wheel got caught in as drainage grate and the tow strap broke. I not only got it out of the grate, I pushed it up the ramp about 10 feet so I could get the other car behind it.

    The car weighs 3000lbs, but one end of a car lifted in a cantilever motion perhaps weighs 600-1000lbs at most. It’s also not a dead lift, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t incredible, and the man is still a hero.

      I was parking my vehicle in a stall at a complex and there is a bent piece of edging on the rear wheel opening and it grabbed the passenger side of a Japanese car bumper. The rubbery plastic bumper came off its frame. Looking at the bumper pulled off on one side, I tried to see if it would go back on. Trying to push it back, the other side pops off. Now the whole bumer is just hanging down a bit as the locked trunk is the only thing keeping the plastic bumper from falling on the ground.
      There is a frame under the plastic skin that holds the clips and there is one bolt with one nut on each side to hold the plastic skin to the bumber frame

    The reason humans don't use their full muscle power is because it literally starts to tear us appart. The reason in the moments of hysterical strength we can is because a massive rush of adrenaline that shut off our bodies fail safes, basically crisis mode.

  • @tranquiliz3r23
    @tranquiliz3r23 2 роки тому +1

    this happens all the time in track and field. Especially short distance sprinting. Where often times the personal records of athletes come as a result of a poor start which causes increased amounts of adrenaline to be released as they are chasing the other sprinters. They end up reaching top speeds they've never hit before and catching the competition from behind.

    • @ricklopez4703
      @ricklopez4703 Рік тому

      Yeah maybe but hysterical strength is different from being pumped up. Your brain knows the difference in fact scientists say there's no reason humans can't run 40 mph because we're designed to so an track and field event may let you run as fast as you normally can but not full potential

    @Stars-and-Stripes- 4 роки тому +5

    Well the guy said he liftd 800lbs before which is more than the average man and would make me think that he used to be a power lifter... well he had adrenaline flowing which would make him stronger than usual and he basically lifted 1/4 of a 3200lb car if it was the car in the video it could have been lighter, of which most of the weight is in the front with the engine so the back of the car probably weighed about 35-40 percent of the total weight then he lifted approximately 1/2 the weight of the rear end so that would be roughly 800lbs or so... Not that I could lift 800lbs, but the admited that he lifted around 800lbs before so it is doable for him with an adrenaline rush on top of it.... Just sayin..

    It's a CAMARO! I am a small woman and I had lifted my old camaro out of a ditch. A quarter weighs as much as 700 lbs, but even I was able to lift the bumper a couple inches so it could be driven out. It's not extreme or unusual, it's just a very light car!!
