Sony TV RED Light Blinking 5 Times Issue Fixed

This Sony TV had the red LED blinking 5 times issue. No any picture or sound.
This 5 times blinking code means, It has a faulty T-CON broad or Panel.
Then I cleaned the T-CON ribbon cables (to fix the bad connectivity due to oxide) and the T-CON board (to remove any short circuit due to dust and moisture).
But the above steps did not fix the issue.
Finally I found that this is because of one of fuse is blown in the main board.
Then I replaced the fuse with same rating (4A) and the TV worked.. :-)

Great tutorial. Did you ever find what caused the fuse to blow? Did the fuse blow again later? Is the TV still functional?

So, just a recap. The fuse was bad on the main board, and you replaced it. At the end of the video, you powered the TV on, I saw the splash screen, but then it went back off. So, what was the problem? Was it the T-Con board, or is the TV functioning properly?

Sorry my bad. I forgot to show you the home screen once it is loaded. Yes, the issue was the fuse on the mainboard. The same behavior can be seen if the fuse is blown in the T-Con too.

Same problem for me.. i tried everything.. and finally went with sony service centre they asked to replace the t con board. Pls advice.. they are asking to go with imported than sony due to cost issue.. once after changing will it work properly.. or again any problem will come. Can i go for service or to change new tv. Pls advice. My tv is 8 year old 50”

Service engineer came and without doing /checking anything he is saying that there is problem with main board. Need to replace with new.
Is there a way to repair?

In my TV also, it was a main board fault. Without troubleshooting I can't say whether it can be fixed or not..

So my Sony XBR-65X750D has a flashing red light just below the SONY logo, no picture or sound. I took the back off and disconnected the ribbon from the T-Con board. I turned the TV on and the screen lights up and to my surprise it started playing "Dreamy-Like"music.
The music has me baffled as it won't play when the ribbon is connected nor will the screen light up. I plugged the ribbon back into the T-Copn board, turned on the power and no music but the red light flashed 5 times once again.
I just want my 8 year old TV to work. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks.

Most probably the issue is in T-CON board. First check the fuse in the T_CON board (it is near to the ribbon cable in the T-CON board). Then check the capacitors (smoothing caps) near the fuse. If still can't find the issue just replace the T_CON board and see. Good luck.

thanks for video and for speaking english. my problem is main board(board with hdmi, rj45 port) is not getting 12v. is that wrong? my tv is sony kdl46ex720. please can you make video "this should give 12v, this should 3.something volt,etc. so we know how to troubleshoot. sorry is this ask is too much but i cant find any video about that on youtube.

Noise mean, the TV is working in Analogue TV mode. Most probably your TV has backlight issue..
