Actually yeah they have their similarities. Death note is a series just like breaking bad. Both of the MC dies in the end. And they're both practically the bad person in their own show
The only difference between these two characters is that Light died without even redeeming himself while Walter repaired the damages done in his life. TLDR: Walt died a noble death while Light died a cowardly one.

@@Joetino Ryuk is just a neutral Greek chorus. Misa and Jesse are both the ones who have a misplaced sense of loyalty, despite being used and abused, and do a lot of the dirty work. Biggest differences are the exact nature of the relationship (dysfunctional father figure of sorts rather than romantic love) and that Jesse has some degree of dignity and limits.
I did it...for me. I liked it, I was...good at it. It...it made me feel alive.
