I listened and watch this a few times already (the original/reactions) and i can't believe i missed Stupendium at 2:35. It just didn't click for me for some reason.
Probably the fact it came out of nowhere and was an original game concept, which is rare these days (closest would be town of salem/werewolf games, and their only common trend is players having to rat out who is trying to ruin them, or the "the thing" starcraft 2 custom games which share a lot with players having objectives to accomplish while one if them tries to kill them all while blending in, though they often involve lots of neutral enemies to kill and no vote system, you just shoot who you think is the impostor). Also, being an especially social game at the doorstep of the covid lockdowns
